Shangri-La Chang Palace

I stayed for 3 days and the room was not cleaned on the 3rd day. I fainted! On the third day, we went out early in the day and went back to the B&B after dinner in the evening. We were going to take a shower and rest. We had a flight at 8 o'clock the next day, so we had to go to bed early and get up early. It would be about 19:30 when we got back to the room! As soon as I walked in, I found that the room was not tidied up at all. I was immediately dumbfounded... After contacting me (because there was no one in the lobby, most of the time), the boss said that he would ask someone to come and deal with it. I waited for half an hour and called again to inform him. There is no need to tidy up the room. Please replenish the shower gel and shampoo for us. We have to rest after taking a shower. Someone did not bring the shower gel and towels until around 20:15. Can you accept that the room is not tidied at all, whether it is a B&B or a hotel? The balcony has an angle where you can see the zodiac wheel, which is beautiful!

I stayed for a total of 3 nights, but I have to make it clear first that this is a B&B. Don't judge it by hotel standards, otherwise you will be disappointed. Let’s talk about hardware equipment first: The location is very good. In the ancient city of Dukezong, the living functions are not bad. It's just that you have to find the location. There are ups and downs or stairs on the road, so you have to be mentally prepared when carrying luggage. I like its balcony and skylight very much. The night view is really beautiful at night. The bathroom is not big, the amount of hot water is small, and you have to wait. Although there is floor heating, it is just an electric heater on the ground. Personally, I think the heat energy is insufficient, so I have to rely on the electric blanket on the bed to have a good rest.

This is also a hotel I find valuable. It was one of three hotels that remained intact after the 2014 Shangrila fire. It has a very ancient structure and architecture, the decorations in the hotel are very valuable, ancient and beautiful. Even though the receptionist couldn't speak English, I could communicate via wechat and she helped me wash a large pile of clothes for free. The hotel can transport items from the main road, but you need to call in advance.

Facilities: Too old, the room is like a loft and can't stand up straight, the room is cold even with the floor heating turned on, so I can only use the electric blanket, and the curtains are broken Hygiene: The bathroom has only a curtain and no door.
