I have just returned from a very pleasant stay in this hotel with my partner. The expectations we had for the room and the food were largely satisfied: the room is spacious, with a nice covered balcony overlooking Dobbiaco, and in the kitchen they are really good, especially in preparing gluten-free meals for celiacs like me! Very convenient location, a few steps from both the train and bus stations; there is a large wellness area and a swimming pool where you can relax. A warm greeting to the pastry chef and the dining room staff - always available, friendly and smiling!

I stayed with my family in this hotel and I must say that both the breakfasts and dinners were super great. Friendly and helpful staff. The location of the hotel is the feature that I liked the most: close to the cycle path, the train station and the bus station. For a historic hotel like this I would have expected the rooms and bathrooms to be furnished in a more Tyrolean style, but this is not the case. Pity!!! If I have to find a fault, it concerns the cleaning of the rooms a bit poor.

We have just left the Union hotel after a weekend stay with half board. My husband being celiac was looking for a facility that could meet his needs. The cuisine is good but absolutely improvable: the gluten-free breakfast consisted of a muffin, a tart, some biscuits and the classic packaged rusks. Our opinion is that even the unpackaged food just mentioned actually was, and the presence of a little icing sugar put on the dishes could not mask the industrial nature of the food. The dinner included buffet appetizers, two courses and the dessert: the first ones were very good, as well as the desserts (this time not industrial and therefore the choice of not having them also for breakfast but using packaged food is not understood!) While for as far as the main courses are concerned, the kitchen must definitely improve. We ate a Tyrolean roast that had very little Tyrolean: the meat was practically boiled like the potatoes and only the roast sauce saved the dish. Last but not least, the treatment inherent on the day of departure: the previous evening I speak with the reception and ask if we can use the pool before leaving and I am told yes. We pack our bags, pay, and when we are ready to go to the pool we are told that at the bottom of the pool there is the robot that is doing the cleaning and therefore it can be dangerous. Considering that the time of use of the pool was from 9 in the morning to 20 in the evening, it is difficult for us to believe that the maintenance was done during the day and not at night ... rather we believe that it was an excuse to avoid any problems given that we had already checked out. This bothered us a lot and I think it is enough to not repeat the stay at the Union hotel in the future. However, I believe it is only right to point out the extreme kindness of all the dining room staff and the owner of the hotel.

We stayed in a standard double room that was spacious, comfortable, and clean, with a desk and armchair, a King size bed, perhaps a little firm but good. Tidy bathroom with hairdryer, equipped with soap, shampoo and moisturizer. Too bad that despite the few appearances at the beginning of the season, they placed us on the 5th floor but with a lift up to the fourth. The adjacent railway is not heard. Upon arrival little information, no indication on services and timetables, we were closed in the "garden" about 20min, it seems due to a malfunction of the keyless system on the door, but not reported. Gym not always accessible for the keyless. On the other hand, the swimming pool that would have been more appreciated with an external passage to allow you to sunbathe without going into the "garden" on the first floor. Even the spa deserves praise, I suggest two herbal teas just out of the sauna or Turkish bath to help rehydrate. Special mention goes to the restaurant, where Gabriele and Giuseppe, together with a superior cuisine, always very attentive to customers, made our stay very familiar.

Hotel in posizione perfetta per andare a sciare con tutti i comfort per un rilassante soggiorno. Colazione e cena abbondanti e gustose. Personale cortese e accogliente. Stanze belle e spaziose. Sala relax ampia e con molte opportunità tra sauna bagno turco e idromassaggio. Si suggeriscono anche i massaggi con personale altamente qualificato.
