I recently stayed at The Chedi Doha and overall had a good experience, but not quite the five-star standard I expected. The hotel itself is beautiful — the design is elegant, the pools are impressive, and the rooms are spacious and very comfortable. In terms of the physical space, it’s hard to fault anything.
Where the hotel struggled, however, was the service. The staff were polite, but the overall approach felt a bit inconsistent and sometimes inattentive. For a hotel positioned at this level, I expected a more proactive and polished guest experience. This seems to match some of the other reviews I’ve seen, where visitors also mention that the service doesn’t always live up to the otherwise stunning property.
Breakfast was generally fine, with a decent variety, but there were moments when items weren’t replenished in time, which was a bit frustrating, especially during busier hours. Again, not a major issue, but not what you would hope for at a luxury hotel.
In summary, The Chedi Doha is an impressive place with great potential — fantastic pools, lovely rooms, and beautiful surroundings — but the service needs improvement to justify a top rating. I’d still consider coming back, but with slightly tempered expectations.
