Howard Johnson Club Hotel Dongfang

The first five-star hotel in Dongfang City, you can see the Yulinzhou Lighthouse from the hotel. It boasts a huge balcony and stunning sea views. We even got complimentary tickets to Crocodile Town, which was definitely worth visiting – did you know crocodiles have been around for over 200 million years, since the dinosaur era? It really gives you a feeling of a secluded paradise. Plus, there's a private hot spring bath♨️. It's a five-star hotel at a three-star price. Next time I'm in Dongfang, I'll definitely stay at Howard Johnson again! 🏨

The hotel is located right next to the old town, very close to Yulinzhou. The scenic spot itself is unmanaged and poorly maintained, quite unremarkable. We stayed in a suite this time, and its overall condition was pretty good. However, the air conditioning unit has a design flaw; it lacks a soundproof return air box, and the supply and return vents are too close, leading to excessive noise from the fan. Thankfully, the weather wasn't hot, so we could sleep with the AC off. Breakfast was decent. Considering the room rate, the early morning construction, starting around 8 am with a jackhammer no less, was disruptive. They really need to manage noise times better to improve the guest experience.

The room was quite nice, and for this price, the hot spring experience was excellent value for money! Even the hot spring water is dispensed individually for each guest, and there's also a large swimming pool!

I booked this hotel in advance for easy access to the Fish Scale Beach scenic area to watch the sea view and sunset. Arriving around 4 PM, I was surprised to find my room hadn't been cleaned yet. They offered me a room that was the last available room, but after a long day of sightseeing, I didn't want to wait and reluctantly accepted. Upon entering the room, I found hair everywhere on the bathroom floor and toilet – clearly, I shouldn't have chosen a room that was the last available room. Around 11 PM, I discovered that none of the buttons on the bedside lamp control panel could be turned off. After fiddling with it for a while, and considering my family was already asleep, I decided to cover the lamp with a piece of clothing, but it didn't help much, and my elderly relative, who has trouble sleeping, didn't get a good night's sleep. The next morning, I asked the front desk, who said the switch was right next to the lamp holder. Upon closer inspection, I found a small black button in an inconspicuous spot on the side. Why wasn't the switch on the bedside lamp control panel? Even if there was a switch on the lamp holder, there should have been a sign indicating it. This small oversight is unacceptable and causes inconvenience to guests. Furthermore, the hotel's location is relatively remote, with few restaurants or convenience stores nearby. To be honest, aside from these unpleasant experiences, the hotel's interior environment and facilities were quite good and relatively new. The service staff were also very friendly. Hopefully, the hotel can make improvements based on the issues raised by guests.

前台婷婷服務態度超好，酒店環境十分好，出行都很方便，早餐也很豐富，温泉和泳池住店客人都是免費的，十分推薦大家來東方的時候選擇這家酒店，每個服務員都很不錯哦。推薦！

這家酒店的服務給我留下印象比較深，前台小姐姐微微態度很好，有問題都會耐心解決。發票開的很快，房間環境也不錯，細節方面做得比較到位，整體不錯，下次來附近還會考慮。
