"I booked this hotel for one night. The location is not very convenient as there aren’t many food options nearby, but it is quite close to the airport. Due to our flight timing, we arrived at the hotel earlier than usual. We understood the official check-in time, so we politely asked if there was any chance of checking in earlier. If not, we were willing to wait, we only hoped they could let us know once a room became available. There were two counters. We were initially at the second counter (one next away from the 1st counter), but the receptionist asked my husband to move to the first one. No issue, we moved over as instructed. During the check-in process, the male receptionist repeatedly asked whether I booked online. I answered yes, yet he asked the same question again. Since he already had my IC in his hand, I expected he could see the booking details in the system. I honestly didn’t understand why he kept repeating the same question. I then politely asked if we could get a room earlier should there be any available. Instead of responding in a friendly or helpful manner, he kept repeating, “Our check-in time is 2pm,” more than three times over our check-in process. We clearly understood the check-in time, but his tone and attitude were not friendly at all. A simple “If we have a room available, we’ll try to arrange it for you” would have been enough, but instead he just repeated the same answer without any consideration. On top of that, both receptionists, the male and the female were chatting and laughing among themselves at the counter in front of guests, which felt quite unprofessional. Still, we were thankful that we eventually managed to get our room at 12:35pm. Overall, the experience was disappointing and lacked basic hospitality. I’ve been travelling and staying in different hotels, and I’ve never encountered service this unfriendly before."

"Overall the trip is quite nice, only the fan can be squeaky, but air conditioning works fine, bathroom is okay, only the water heater knob can be sometimes not functioning. Parking space can be find easily"

"This was my first time staying at this hotel and I had a very pleasant experience. I was impressed with the room, it was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and provided excellent service throughout my stay. The airport transfer service was also very punctual and well arranged. Overall, it was a smooth and enjoyable stay, and I would definitely consider staying here again"

"Overall, the stay was acceptable, but there are a few areas that could be improved. This was my second stay at the hotel. Compared to my previous visit, the experience this time was not as good, especially in terms of room preparation and amenities. I booked a Deluxe King Room, which is stated to accommodate up to 2 guests. However, the bathroom amenities prepared seemed to be for one person only. There was no toothbrush or toothpaste provided, which was unexpected. Based on the photos, the toilet paper also appeared to be continued from the previous guest rather than replaced with a new roll. We checked in late at night, and after a long journey, we were already tired. Because of this, it felt inconvenient to request additional items that ideally should have been prepared in the room upon check-in. The water bottles provided were sufficient, but coffee or tea packets were not included. Interestingly, sugar and creamer packets were provided, which felt a bit unusual without the coffee or tea. The TV channels were basic, which was acceptable. Room cleanliness was fine and met my expectations. I would also like to mention that the receptionists in the morning during checkout were friendly and welcoming, which was appreciated. However, the night shift staff felt less warm in comparison. The location is not in the city center, about 10–15 minutes’ drive without traffic, and longer during peak hours. The price this time was slightly higher compared to my first stay, which would have been acceptable if all the basic amenities were properly provided. Considering this, there may be other hotels or Airbnbs nearby that offer better value for money. Overall, the stay was okay, but more consistent service standards and room preparation, especially compared to my previous stay, would greatly improve the experience."

"Got you — I’ll keep it balanced and honest, like a real guest who had both good and not-so-good moments. ⸻ I recently stayed at Lintas Platinum Hotel for 5 days, and overall it was a decent stay with a few hiccups along the way. On the first day, check-in was smooth, but unfortunately the first room assigned to me had no air-conditioning and no power. After informing the staff, they arranged a room change. The switch was handled fairly quickly, which I appreciated, and the new room was functioning properly. For the rest of the stay, the room was generally comfortable. The bed was good, WiFi was stable, and air-conditioning worked well (very important in Kota Kinabalu’s weather). Daily housekeeping ensured that water bottles and basic amenities were replenished consistently, which I appreciated. However, there were a few issues during the stay. For the last few days, the bathroom phone kept ringing every evening around 6:29pm. I was quite busy in the mornings and only managed to report it on the last day. The staff checked but couldn’t find any issue. It was a bit strange and slightly disturbing, though thankfully it didn’t escalate beyond that. I also noticed that the towels provided were a bit old, and the housekeeping floor cleanliness could be improved. While the room was generally maintained, the floor didn’t always feel properly cleaned. That said, the staff were polite and helpful throughout my stay. Despite a few inconveniences, the overall experience was still reasonably comfortable. With some improvements in maintenance and housekeeping quality control, the hotel could definitely provide a much better experience. Overall, a decent stay with room for improvement."

"All was good except for the WiFi service. The staff were good. It has no lift by the way and our family room with 2 queen beds and 1 sofa bed was on the 2nd floor. Using only stair to lift up our baggage. This facility has it's own parking lot which save our time not to look for a space to park our car."

"I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The location is excellent — very convenient and close to shops and restaurants, making everything easily accessible. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The bed was cozy, and the housekeeping team did a great job maintaining the room daily. I especially appreciated the quiet environment, which allowed me to rest well."

"The message I received from the hotel via the app stated that parking would cost RM5 per day, excluding the check-in/check-out dates. However, upon arrival, I was told the price had increased to RM10 several days ago. I had informed them in advance that I'd need parking, and my check-in date was obviously known, so I was quite confused by the misinformation. If the price had increased, I would have appreciated being notified beforehand."
