Dongxing Sihai Mingyue Inn

The guesthouse is perfectly situated in the heart of the old town, offering easy walking access to attractions like Dongxing Port, Fengqing Street, and the China-Vietnam Friendship Park. The surrounding area is incredibly convenient, with a wide array of amenities including restaurants, street food stalls, and wholesale markets. The rooftop terrace provides expansive views, where you can gaze across the Beilun River to Mong Cai, Vietnam. It offers excellent value for money, and the rooms are spotlessly clean. What truly sets this place apart is the owner's warm and genuine hospitality. He was incredibly helpful, proactively assisting with luggage and recommending delicious local food. His thoughtful and attentive service made us feel truly at home. A big thumbs up to him! 👍👍👍

The elderly owner is incredibly kind, and his handwriting is beautiful! I highly recommend taking some time to chat with him. From the upper floors, you can see Vietnam just across the border. The room was spotless, and the location is fantastic. It's just a short walk to the China-Vietnam Friendship Park and very close to the Dongxing border crossing. Plus, Bukeshudian (bookstore), Salted Cream Coffee, and Xuezhen's Bakery are all within a 10-15 minute walk.

The owner was very welcoming. From the rooftop, you could see Vietnam just across the border. Dongxing is a humid and rainy place, and unfortunately, the room had a musty smell, which isn't ideal, especially for female travelers.

The hotel was fully booked. My boss had to arrange for me to stay at a different hotel at the last minute, and the alternative wasn't up to par.
