Have stayed here several times and quality remains. They thought of everything in the room and the bed is comfortable. The food is delicious and prepared on demand. But what really sets them apart is the customer service: everyone is polite, smiles and helpful. Special shout out to Leonel, D’Aquin, the valet and room service teams. Truly the best in the city

I had a great experience at AKWA Palace hotel. The reception staff are amazing especially Miss Kadija and Miss Sylie, I recommend this place to anyone who wants a pleasant and stress free environment. Personally I think it’s a 5star rather than a 4star hotel.

NOT first time in this hotel.. if you want to have wonderful service, please come to this hotel. from breakfast to sport center i can give high point to this hotel. Especially Mr Serge ( manager) give me a big confidence with his wonderful attitude. He knows how to please customers… he is very serious about success… also at reception Mr Cedric at reception wonderful, Mr Lionel consierge, Mr Bruno sport coach, Miss Diane at restaurant… these people are indeed special and wonderful… I will always stay here whenever i come to Douala Cameroon Pas la première fois dans cet hôtel. . si vous voulez avoir un service exceptionnel, venez dans cet hôtel. du petit-déjeuner au centre sportif, je peux donner un point culminant à cet hôtel. Surtout M. Serge (gérant) m'accorde une grande confiance avec sa merveilleuse attitude. Il sait faire plaisir aux clients… il est très sérieux au sujet du succès… aussi à la réception M. Cédric à la réception merveilleux, M. Lionel concierge, M. Got to stay here for 10days. My experience has been a very pleasant one. Food selection in the buffet is well diverse. Its more of the ex-pat flavor...meaning its very good and less on spices. The pool is very inviting. The gym is basic but its there and clean. They have bar and chill out area which is nice. The room is spacious. Dark themed hotel made bright and lively with the catering staff, room attendants, security personnel, and attentive front desk personnel. Had a slight difficulty changing currencies. This observation might be the most important one for me, maybe trivial for others, but they impressed me with this item: I never saw a mosquito or any insect in my room. A first for me in an African hotel. Great housekeepers. Enjoyed my 10days stay.

I would give this hotel a 5 rating. The service and cleanliness of the hotel are excellent. However, the €100 per day incidental charge is ridiculous. I had a 5 day stay, and had €500 held on my AMEX the entire stay. I called AMEX, and they said once funds are verified the merchant has the option of releasing the hold immediately. The hotel did not, even after I asked them, and informed them of the procedure outlined by AMEX. The real topper was that upon check out. I was told the card had to be run again because they had ”a system problem”. I argued with them that their system problem should not be my problem. They have the card authorization for €500. When they were able they should just charge the €134 against that authorization, and release the rest. I ended up having to let them run the card again. I was down €634 at the end of the day, with no idea when the €500 will be released. Be careful and aware!!!! I will not be staying there in my future trips to Paris!!!

My stay at K Hotel was the highlight of my vacation in Douala. This was my first time at K hotel and it did not disappoint. The hotel met my expectation and even surpassed it, from the customer service, to the cleanliness, to the vibe/ambiance/aesthetics/comfort, to the food- everything was exceptional. Personally, it's the first time I stay at a hotel (especially in Cameroon) and I have nothing negative to say. The lady who checked me in, I forget her name, was so lovely, polite, and welcoming. Moreover, the housekeeper assigned to my room did an excellent job. If you want the best cocktails, please ask for Michel at K-BAR not only does he make the best cocktails, he also has an amazing personality. He is one of the several reasons that I enjoyed my stay at K Hotel. I also had a welcoming and warm encounter with Pride, Emmanuel, and Steven at the front desk. Their bright smiles and willingness to help me added to the beauty of the hotel. Not to mention Cynthia, Aziz, and Joachim who were also all welcoming as well as the security personnel at the front who ensured the security and comfort of the guests 24/7. In a nutshell, my encounter with every staff at K Hotel was nothing short of excellent and wonderful. I could go on and on about my astounding experience at K Hotel. All I can say to the K Hotel management is to keep up the good work and to continue to maintain the high standard. I will definitely be back and if you are reading my review and you are still hesitant to book at K hotel, please don't be... go ahead and book, and I promise you that you won't regret it and you would 100% enjoy your stay just like I did!

Ok hotel. Clean rooms and staff who want to help but most do not speak any English at all. Food is good but service is VERY slow. Breakfast good but unnecessarily expensive (even more than ordering dinner at the restaurant). Unreliable WiFi.
