Stayed for 5 days at Cedar Lodge. The property is stunning. The first impression of the gorgeous gardens took our breath away, and the views were amazing. Our room was beautifully furnished and we loved the decor. The bathroom is a wet room with a rain head shower, perfect temperature and pressure. A wonderful selection of toiletries was available. Everything was very clean and Jo, our lovely host, provided tea/coffee facilities in the room with fresh milk in a mini fridge, as well as daily chocolate biscuits (thank you!). Breakfast was delicious. Jo could not do enough for us, and cooked us a lovely breakfast every day, and provided home-made toasted bread. She is a wealth of information about sights to visit on the island, which we found incredibly useful. She also provided a parking permit for the duration of our stay. Every evening and morning we went to bed and woke up to incredible views across the rolling hills. It really felt like we were in paradise. So calm and relaxing. And we were treated to lovely views of local wildlife every day, including a beautiful woodpecker just outside the window at the bird feeder! The location is perfect for whatever kind of activities you'd like to do on holiday. A beautiful little hidden beach is just a 5 minute drive, or within walking distance. Ramsey and Douglas are not too far by car either, but to be honest, you can drive to the southern point within 40 minutes or the top end in under 30 minutes. Cedar Lodge's location is ideal for exploring the entire island with ease. 100 percent recommend staying here!
