This is an outstanding hotel. It is located across the street from the train station, but is incredibly quiet. The place is immaculate and the interior design is very well done. The hotel was remodeled in 2021 and it looks brand new. Staff was very attentive and fluent in English. The room was decent sized for a European hotel. We were able to leave our bags in the hotel after checking out so we could tour Dresden before taking a train out of town. It's one of the nicer hotels we've stayed at in recent years

We stayed in this hotel twice during the last month. The first time we had a little suite on the top floor of the Bastei. This was fine, if a little bare. Checkin and breakfast were fine. The second time we found ourselves in the annex, the Konigstein. Check in at the Bastei was poor with 20 minute queue. The annex had a fast food stall across the front and entry is by room card. The lift was dirty when we arrived and smelled of vaping and did not work properly. The impression is of an unmanned operation. The room was on the 6th floor and was noisy during the evening, from the very busy street below. At breakfast we were instructed to sit at a table already occupied by another guest and the staff member was aggressive with us saying the nicer tables were all for groups. No sign of these by the time we left of course. Also over-zealous table clearing, go to the buffet for more and your cutlery and coffee are gone. So better check in, maybe safes in the better rooms, and some serious staff training about customer service, rather than bullying.

10 minutes walk from Dresden Hauptbanhof and 15 minutes walk to Neumarktplatz. Big shopping mall next door and PragerStrasse has all kinds of shops and restaurants. All in all a great location. Our room was an unusual layout with a large foyer and even larger bedroom but with sp**** furniture. We liked it as we had plenty of room to spread out. All the staff we met were smiling and helpful.

Stayed here for four nights and just loved the location of the hotel, near to all the sights, good restaurants plus a fabulous bakery almost on the doorstep. We used the kitchen area for breakfast and that worked fine, plenty of crockery and cooking utensils had we felt the urge to cook (we didn't). We had the one bed apartment, the room was big and very quiet at night, shower was great. Reception was open from around 8.30-7pm and we found the staff very helpful and welcoming especially when we first arrived. Just the wifi signal was a bit intermittent in our room but that wasn't a big deal for us except when trying to watch a football match from the UK!

Lovely hotel. Great staff. Check-in and checkout perfect. Rooms clean, good size, wifi perfect, very comfortable all round. Great feature is the convenience store in the lobby with a variety of snacks, wine, beer, etc. Excellent location at the edge of the historic centre. Good value for money. Would definitely stay here again.

We were in town for the Christmas markets which is one of Germany's best. Well, we couldn't have picked a better place to stay than here. The hotel opens directly upon the central square which is where one of the markets is located. The other major market is just a few steps further across the street. Unfortunately, we weren't given a view room and our room really didn't have a view, but it was comfortable with all the amenities you might expect. We were traveling by car so a big plus was the underground public garage with direct elevator access to the hotel.

Super experience! Location, can’t be better, facing the church, get full vision of the street, particularly in the morning when the streets are still quiet and empty. All the highlights are all walking distance. Lots of options of restaurants in the area; Facility is clean and well maintained, and everything you need is can be found in the room. Suitable for family travel with children as well. We found it very comfortable in the room, and we slept very well. Once the window is closed, you won’t be bothered by the outside sound. The city is very nice, we are very glad that we spent one night here in such a great place.

A much better location of a hotel is hardly imaginable. Whoever stands in historical old towns is right there, because he is in the middle, right in the center. As regards the cleanliness and equipment of our room, there was nothing to defect, quite the opposite. All that you need is available. The breakfast booked is stored in the Italian restaurant next to it, but it does not stop all, since you have direct access from the hotel. The breakfast itself is very rich and for everyone certainly what it is. We booked the hotel for a night after a concert visit, which went until 22:30. At this time, it seems impossible to have a free seat in the many existing gastronomic facilities around the old market, because everything is occupied. I would have liked to have a sack in the hotel, but it is unfortunately impossible. But whoever doesn't necessarily make it on it, I can only recommend this hotel. What is also something sporty is when you travel with your own vehicle, the park search. But also there you will be helped at the reception, there are recommendations for parks nearby, where free capacity is also checked in the front desk.

It is a great hotel, the service is top. The Hotel Crew is friendly. Breakfast buffet is rich and fresh. The rooms are large and friendly furnished. The location is so that you can also reach the city walking distance and about 10 minutes. We could park our car in the deep garage for 12 nights , I think on the street with a parking ticket we would have come more expensive and it would not have been so safe. We are satisfied and will come back in any case . Thanks to the hotel team !!!!!

For the following reasons to stay in Dresden, you can choose Holiday Inn: 1) Service: As a hotel under IHG, the service level is stable. checkin The front desk will inform the current customer in advance about the current customer arrival situation, patiently ask the customer's needs for the room, if you arrive at the hotel in advance, you will let the customer join the IHG member to enjoy early check-in. Every morning I go to the restaurant to eat and see different waiters politely but not embarrassingly say hello; Meeting house keeping in the corridor will also say hello politely. 2) Hygiene: daily cleaning of the room, changing bath towels, renewing new tea bags and coffee. Shortly after the restaurant guests finished eating, the waiter cleaned the table, there was no bread on the ground, and the buffet table was cleaned without oil stains, soy sauce, tea stains. 3) Facilities: The hotel is warm like spring, and there are heating and air conditioning in the room. The bathroom in the room is very large, the shower water pressure is very comfortable, and the water temperature is very comfortable. It’s really comfortable to take a hot bath when I come back a day outside. ～ 4) Environment: The hotel is located on a small street outside the old town and is very quiet at night. Walk to Zwenger Palace for 3 minutes and walk to Notre Dame Cathedral for 10 minutes. There is a Sichuan restaurant less than 100 meters from the hotel, which is partial to Chengdu taste (hemp), which is delicious!

This hotel is in a charming traditional baroque area of the Neustadt rather than the tourist dominated Altstadt. The area is quiet and our room especially so because it overlooked the inner courtyard. Bedrooms are a good size with traditional styling matching the era of the building. Our bathroom was adequately equipped but disappointingly small for a hotel of this quality. Our main, and fundamental, criticism of this hotel was that breakfast was not available in its own breakfast room as stated on its website and booking confirmation. It was instead provided at the neighbouring sister hotel, the Bulow Palais; fortunately for us the weather was chilly but fine for the morning 150m walk. The enhanced Palais breakfast was superb, with exemplary table service for cooked meals and a huge variety of delicacies at the buffet. It was provided at the Residenz price but that does not make this unannounced change acceptable. With online communications available, we should at least have been told about the changed breakfast arrangements in advance; failure to communicate is unacceptable in this standard of hotel. Accordingly, and at best, we can therefore only rate it average.

Easy 15 min tram from the Hauptbahnhoff and, as others have noted, highly accessible to both the old and new towns. Don't miss the old-town-sights but as others have mentioned check out the new town as well. Louisenstrasse is about a 10 minute walk but gives you a great neighborhoody feel w/ lots of little eateries, shops and the like. The first night we ate dinner in old town at a touristy place and I wish we'd explored here instead! Anyway, back to the Bilderberg... rooms are a reasonable price and nicely updated. Overall the location feels central but we also got a quiet night's sleep. Apparently there is a rave across the river most weekend evenings that peters out about 10pm with a fireworks display which we could see from our room. Breakfast was worth the upcharge. Would stay here again or recommend to others.

However, the general standard of the hotel is too average for a tourist metropolis. A strong push of measures will be needed if the house wants to assert itself in a strong competition. Best positive surprise on my whole trip. Very good location, not in the center but few steps to the train station Dresden-Neustadt, tramway in front of the hotel and also around the corner, 5 min to the Barock Viertel with lots of restaurants and bars and approx 15min walking right into the center/ old town. Very clean and modern rooms, excellent breakfast buffet, friendly helpful staff and moderate rates.
