Hotel Taschenbergpalais Kempinski Dresden

When we arrived, parked outside the hotel was a Lamborghini, a Bentley and a Porsche 911 - inside followed suit. We had an amazing room. Hotel is located in the heart of the Old Town. Minimal corridor noise, no outside noise, muffled room to room noise. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, body, lotion, comb, loofah pad, shaving kit, dental set, hygiene, set, Emery board, shower cap, plush towels.. No tub. Dual sinks but limited counter space Hairdryer. No iron or ironing board but you can call for one. In room recycle bin. Room safe. Sewing kit, shoe, polish glove, lint roller Umbrellas in lobby. Suites with separate toilet compartment with 3rd sink. Mini fridge, coffee maker.

The hotel location is perfect. I stayed in a suite but it is smaller than I expected from the pictures in the website. The toilet/WC is separate and far away from the shower/bathtub area. The floor is mostly wooden/ parquet and small carpeted areas below bed and below sofa/chairs in the living room. There is cooling system BUT NOT COLD AS AIR CONDITIONER. They offered to bring a fan if needed. Overall, I like the hotel especially with his location and hotel design but I will visit in cold months.

First of all, the hotel was clean. Our room was a suit room and the design was very good. However, first thing we did was go to breakfast and when we got back we realized our money was stolen. We immediately told the floor cleaner person. She said she would meet her maneger. Then they did not get back to us and didnt talk about this stolen stuiation. We then spoke to the receptionist at the receptionand they didn't talked later about stolen. We were definitely not satisfied with this hotel which was a thief. They didn't even apologize to us.

We booked this hotel in Dresden following a few nights in Berlin. We decided on a junior suite which, to be honest, was about the top end of our budget for this trip. However, from the moment we entered the building, we did not begrudge a penny of it. It is ornate inside and generates a relaxing atmosphere. The staff are outstanding, very friendly and helpful but without making it stuffy! Our junior suite was spacious and very comfortable with a separate living area. We ate in Kastenmeiers restaurant twice and had some very good food - please see separate review. Was it 100% perfect? Well no. We visited Amalie for a cake and wine - no problem with the produce but the service was painfully slow. Went we finally got served, it then took ages to be able to pay. If we visit Dresden again, we would definitely stay in this beautiful hotel again.
