This hotel is 5-star price-wise only. For example, when we arrived, we have been welcomed by the Customer Care Person, who explained to us who she is, but said nothing on how she can help us and definitely nothing about the construction on the 4th floor of the hotel. So, banging starts at 8:30, which presumes that everyone is up and about at that hour. Apparently, they were supposed to notify me about it via e-mail, but someone just forgot about it... If I knew there will be construction at the hotel, I would have never stayed here. I guess that's why I never got that email... The concierge reached out to us a while ago asking why we are staying at the hotel so long. We have written to him in a reasonable detail. No response. Zero follow-up. The concierge in general was great in instructing us how we can do things ourselves. Another example. We return to the hotel at 10 pm, and our ever-hungry teenagers would like to eat something. - We are sorry but all the restaurants close their kitchens at 9:30 pm, and there is no room service. - Can we have have at least some bread and butter? (And here, the staff at 5 or even 4-star hotel would respond ”Let me see what I can do.” But instead we heard:) - No. You need to take care of it by yourself. And, it is like this, pretty much with everything service-wise at this hotel. Only the staff of the first-floor café seemed to know what they are doing. It just looks like the place lacks direction from the management that is lost and confused. To add to the ”attractions” we could hear very clearly all the water noises coming from a room next door. We also had some trouble falling asleep as the guy next door snored like a hog in heat. I also think that having the permanently screwed through cracked dial to a heated towel rack is something that I would find at a 2-star hotel, and I still would be surprised... There was 6 of us in 3 rooms, and we stayed here for 6 nights. The impressions were all the same. It's the details that matter both in the customer service and the decor, and it is simply not a case here. At the end of our stay, the front desk staff has made a scene, because we wanted a detailed invoice. Thanks to that though we found out they have charged us additional numerous positions from the mini bar, which we did NOT use. So, please be careful they will try to cheat you.

Trinity City Hotel is excellently located in the heart of Dublin, so for that I give it 5 stars. It has a fancy, almost glitzy lobby, and the staff are nice. But there was a problem that was difficult to overcome. The duvet (the bed cover) was oversized and bulky and made it too hot to sleep. And the pillows were fat as pigs. I tried (had to call front desk four different times within a six hour period) to get a lightweight cover of some sort and a flatter pillow, without any success. I tried to cool down the room by opening the window but it was ”fixed” so that I could only open it about three inches (to prevent people jumping out, I suppose). In the end I just stripped off the duvet cover (essentially the thickness of two bedsheets) and used that to cover me. For such a nice hotel, you'd think they'd be able to accommodate people who don't want to roast in the duvet or sleep at a 45 degree angle with the fat pillows. I hope someone in the hotel management sees this and they buy some lightweight blankets and some normal sized pillows.

We stayed here for 2 nights in May 2022 in room 110 - right across from the elevator but we did not notice any noises due to this. King bed was comfortable, and the room was clean and spacious. Front desk persons were friendly and helpful. The location is great - walkable to all attractions including Guiness Storehouse. The only issue I had with the hotel was the 'chef' was late for breakfast each morning, so hot food was delayed 15 minutes the first morning and 30 minutes on the morning we were supposed to catch a taxi to pick up our rental car for the rest of our trip. The food was good but the wait for 2 mornings in a row was inexcusable. The front desk arranged a taxi for us for departure. The taxi never showed up. I was disappointed in with the hotel only because they should have told us it is impossible to schedule a taxi on a weekday morning between 7 and 10am from the hotel. We had to wait for new guest to be dropped off by taxi and grab that taxi to our car rental place. I know the hotel had no control over this, but they should have had better advice for us.

We stayed here as a group of 6 for the weekend. From the moment we arrived, which was fairly late in the evening, until checkout it was a top class experience. Lami, on reception, was warm, friendly, knowledgeable, full of ideas for our stay, and she couldn't do more to make sure our stay was one to remember. There was also a chap on that night alongside Lami, unfortunately we didn't get his name, but he too was just brilliant. The apartment itself was fabulous, clean, with every kitchen appliance you'd need, and the beds were comfy and gave a great nights sleep. The breakfast was one of the best we've had. A great choice of items, relaxed atmosphere, and great value for money. We also had a pizza in the hotel at 1230 one evening and that too was delicious. Thoroughly would recommend this to everyone and we will definitely stay here again. Thank you all for a great stay!

Nice hotel. Had a great rate through my corporate account, so we couldn’t complain. Location was perfect and an easy walk to everything we needed to do in the city. About 30 minutes (€25-€30 euro taxi ride) from the airport. We did arrive early and, even though our exact room was ready early, they wanted us to pay €30 to get in the room before 4pm. So we walked around and came back while they stored our suitcases. Ordered food to our room twice & everything was good. Staff was friendly and helpful. Had a great view of Christs Church

This place was excellent! I travel a lot for work and was very impressed with this hotel and the staff. We were staying 3 nights before driving out to Doolin. We arrived 6 hours before check in and they were working to get our room ready. They provided us free drinks at the bar while we waited. When I told the front desk staff we would be parking a rental car the next day, he asked if we were picking up at the airport. I confirmed we were. He said 'I know the people at the Hertz a 5 minute walk from here, let me see if I can arrange a pick up at that location and save you time and money going out to the airport.' A few minutes later he had confirmed this, which saved us a hefty taxi fare and a lot of time. This was the theme with all of the staff - extremely helpful, friendly, and accommodating. Continuing to surprise us throughout the visit. Additionally, the accommodations were wonderful. Great rooms, great location (two distilleries across the street and shopping close by), and a fantastic breakfast. This was a wonderful stay and a great kick off to our Irish holiday. Thank you! I stayed for four nights with my teenage daughter on a mother-daughter trip. Got a great rate booking a few months in advance, and I am so impressed with the value received for the price. We were given a room with two beds on the top floor facing the courtyard- it was quiet and comfortable. I brought earplugs after reading some reviews about noise, but we didn’t need them. The bathroom was updated and the shower was great- hot and nice pressure. The beds were a little “creaky” but comfortable, and the linens were cozy. The hotel staff were helpful, the restaurant was good for breakfast (although we chose to eat elsewhere most mornings) and Darkey Kelly’s pub on the first floor had great food and music. The location is fantastic- we were able to walk pretty much anywhere we wanted to go. I really can’t find a single fault with this hotel for the price. Would definitely stay again.

Last time I stayed here ( about 6 years ago?) room was dirty so have not been back again until three weeks ago. Location is superb right at the edge of Temple bar along the River Liffey -downside its a party area so like most Hotels in this area dont plan to sleep until late as lots of noise from bars etc. Room was lovely with lots of nice touches -only big issues I had was in 12c Dublin coming from 32c Jakarta and central heating did not work-you have to call reception to get it switched on then it cuts off every hour and does not work again until you call reception-totally unacceptable for a 5 star Hotel . Ended calling them five times so not much sleep!! It was a Tuesday night so looked like one of the bars in the Hotel was shut-but lots outside anyhow. Did not have breakfast as last time I did was served-took ages and was cold-judging by recent reviews on tripadvisor looks like this still. Reception on check in and out would not win any prizes for their hospitality and were just ok-could learn from The Morrison across the river where I stayed a few nights earlier -genuine hospitality. Would I stay there again -NO -leave it to Bono and the locals -heat is a basic requirement as is hospitality-better Hotels for the same or less money to be had in Dublin City.

My flight was delayed and I tried to notify the property that I would be arriving after the reception closing time (6pm). The phone number provided on the booking was wrong, the one on their website was a call center and no one answered, and I didn't get any email instructions from them. I arrived at midnight and ... SURPRISE: I was locked out! Luckily I met by chance a girl who was staying there and was coming back so she let me in to stay warm. I keep calling unanswered for at least another hour. In the end I settled on the sofa in the living room to sleep without blankets, but it was always better than sleeping on the street or having to look for a new structure in the middle of the night. The next day they admitted the phone number was wrong, apologized and eventually gave me the room I had paid for. They provided proof that they sent the instruction email, but I never received it (I had checked even if it was in spam, and nothing), otherwise I would have slept on the sofa because I felt like it ??? On the same day, the same thing happened to a guy like me who didn't receive any emails they say they sent. Maybe they were having problems with their systems that day? Yet no, it is our fault because ... Final surprise ... Although they admitted that the phone number was wrong, they did not want to refund me the night I paid for and for which I did not receive the service purchased, also risking having to sleep out or spend more money on a new accommodation. Fortunately, hotels.com provided me with a small discount coupon. Thanks Hostel.com! You, on the other hand, are real dishonest thieves, keep those 36 euros well!
