Merrion Road - Ballsbridge Townhouse

Nice neighborhood house located in from UK embassy, clean room. You got everything what need for short stay (bath equipment, hair dryer, iron, towels.. Quit good location in 10 minutes walk there are train and bus stations. In 30 minutes you can reach town center on foot.

We had a room for three and it was nice and clean, with the option to make tea and a mini fridge for snacks. The shower was a little tough to use, there is almost no water pressure. The guesthouse is a little outside of Dublin, but the bus station is right at the guesthouse and the cabs are not too expensive. For a weekend with friends its nice but if you want to stay longer you might look for a more central place in Dublin.

Our stay was for 3 nights from April 21-24. The room was very comfortable and the staff very friendly. We also liked the area in which the hotel was located, since it was a very quiet place and well connected to get around the city. All issues were explained to us by email and by phone before our arrival. We want to thank Andrea, the professional who called us before our stay to explain everything to us. Thank you for her kindness and her clear explanations. We will return without a doubt.

€200 deposit for a key. Which is a plastic card like a loyalty card. They take the deposit by writing your card details down on a piece of paper together with a photo copy of your ID. This for me is a massive security concern. I refused to put cc details on the piece of paper so they took €200 from my account using the machine. Then told me that I’d only get it back if I was there after midday the following day. Of course I’d to leave at 8 and checkout was mandated before 11! honestly this system is so unprofessional I cannot imagine what it might be like for a tourist. I did get this deposit back but not before having to escalate the matter. Tbh it was very stressful I do not recommend this place to stay. €109 for the night €200 for the key Outrageous!
