Highland Rose Country House & Serenity Spa

The rooms and environment are beautiful and clean. The environment is quiet and just what we wanted. The only thing I would say is maybe the curtains can be darker and the glass on the doors can be covered…the room is very light at night.

Normally, I don’t write reviews, but I do feel it’s important to share our experience. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The room was beautifully set up with a romantic touch, which we truly appreciated. The food was lovely, and we especially enjoyed the cozy fireplace during breakfast — it added such a warm and relaxing atmosphere. The only issue we had was with our couples spa package. We had arranged a specific time and were ready as scheduled, but we were not shown where to go for the spa treatment. As we weren’t familiar with the layout, we waited — unfortunately, almost two hours passed before we enquired, only to find out that the next couple had already been booked. Thankfully, the staff assisted in arranging a new booking, and once we finally had our spa treatment, it was absolutely fantastic. Despite the hiccup, we had a wonderful experience overall and would recommend it — especially for a romantic getaway.

The environment is good , catering was also good , the only concern is I experienced a break down while parked within the yard , and how I was confronted was inconsiderate of the two elderly couple I suppose especially the female . However one of your employees offered help and I was assisted .and able to drive back home without hiccup . IT IS IMPORTANT TO CARE FOR GUESTS REGARDLESS .the place is nice!

Very difficult to find the place - roads on Google are nothing but sand tracks. Increased signage would be helpful. Guests should be allowed to access dining room to eat takeaway meals. Host did not respond to messages regarding TV not working. Stains on bedlinen, which from its unironed state made me doubt the cleanliness

The staff was nice and friendly. The grounds were beautifully kept, and the the proximity to town made commuting effortless. Additionally, I enjoyed the the breakfasts - a great way to start a day. Our room didn't meet expectations due to: - Noise from adjacent dining area (lack of soundproofing) - Missing essentials (toilet paper) - Faulty bathtub plug - Broken window allowing cold air in - Mold on the bathroom ceiling We hope that our feedback will help address areas for improvement.

Disappointing stay. Broken floorboards in the room a dangerous trip hazard Noisy plumbing ! The pipes would rattle and groan so loudly it was horrendous Hand towels used as bedside mats on wooden floors were not a good idea Spa treatment was unacceptable. The lady doing my pedicure was completely blindsided when asked to remove gel polish. Was given a 20 minute foot rub when I had booked a one hour pedicure Breakfast while tasty was not suitable as we were not given any options just had the food plonked down on the table. If you allergic to eggs you’re in trouble Asked for breakfast at 8 …after many requests it finally arrived at 9

What a gem!! Loved the room, especially the fireplace, and the breakfast was really good as well. A special thank you to Margaret who went out of her way to help and to ensure that we felt welcome and at home.

Lovely place to find yourself again after a hectic week. The peace and quiet is food for the sole. Just one request Dullstroom must just update their maps on google maps...there are so many roads showing that doesn't exist

It was an absolute pleasure staying at the Highland Rose Country House & Spa. The rooms were awesome. The staff were professional and very friendly. Breakfast was great. In summary, we will be back soon.
