The Bricks Hotel

It's more expensive than others, but is a good hotel. The location is splendid if you travel to Siquijjor the next day or if you just arrived to the pier: is just in front. Breakfast is good and room is acceptable. Probably it's expensive, but for one night is fine.

Accommodation conveniently located close to the Ferry and Rizal Boulevard. Room was basic, ok for a night or two. No windows or natural light. They don't offer any trips to sights. Good breakfast

Place is accessable, problem is car parking is limited. Aircom ia cold.

Comfortable and easy stay.

We have always enjoyed our stays at Bricks Hotel thanks to its perfect location, friendly and attentive staff, and excellent European pastries for a light breakfast. Having stayed here several times in 2023, we decided to return for our vacation this year. ​However, we experienced some frustrating communication regarding room pricing and child policies. Last week, we booked a Superior Queen Room, but upon checkout, I was charged an extra fee for my 11-year-old daughter. Assuming I made a mistake, I booked directly at the front desk yesterday for 3 people in a Deluxe Room, expecting a larger space and no surprises. I was shocked to be charged ₱6,200 for one night due to an "extra person" fee for my daughter. I asked the receptionist why i have to pay exra while i booked specially in front desk for 3 person. She said, all room price online and in desk is good for 2 only. I feel that ​quoting a base rate for 2 people while knowing 3 people are standing in front of them—and then tacking on a surprise fee at checkout or later—is poor customer service. ​It would be very helpful if the hotel made its extra-person policies clearer—especially since booking platforms like Agoda state that kids stay for free. Overall, it is still a great, well-equipped hotel, but clearer pricing up front would make for a much better guest experience.

Unpleasant unprofessional staff Loud, not really well cleaned and not well ventilated rooms. Really just bare minimum Just loud and dusty at anytime of day. You hear everything even with earplugs- Truck, tricycles, construction from 7 am to 11pm. You hear staff gossiping especially at the front desk. Quite proud, unprofessional women, who feels to proud to do the job they are there for. Staff also talk loudly on the alleys. Security Guard is kind and always polite. So far the only pleasant persons in this establishment. Go elsewhere.

Nice view of the window! and food was pretty great

Described as shabby chic, our room had more of a prison cell vibe. But hey, I have to give it justice: the price was good and the location perfect for getting to and fom the ferry elsewhere. Breakfast was good too, so all in all it is cost effective. Just don't expect too much.

Very MUCH disappointed with this hotel, I paid 50% deposit for my booking as per their request & because of a circumstance beyond our control we have to cancel the booking which happened to be more than a month before our booking date. I was told they will give me a refund but for some reason they penalised me of 30% , it's not even on the form i filled up that says a penalty will apply. After some help with 2 nice staffs, they changed it to 20% penalty instead of 30% after I tried to negotiate that i will just take the penalty but at least 10% unfortunately, they won't accept 10% but 20% instead (still they are not supposed penalized me), the room was booked straight away after being cancelled as it's foundation day in Siliman & besided they will be fully booked anyway. TO MAKE THIS MATTER WORSE, THE REFUND WAS FINALLY DEPOSITED BACK TO MY ACCOUNT AFTER MORE THAN A MONTH LONG OF ALMOST EVERYDAY FOLLOW UPS. How honestly is disappointing, to think, every year we stay with this hotel, BUT NEVER AGAIN!! I WILL NOT RECOMMEND.
