The front desk is very good, the breakfast is good, there is a Christmas tree at the door, and the children can't bear to leave after playing for a long time. Breakfast is good, many people come to hold a wedding in the castle

We checked in late and receptionist was very efficency + friendly.I had rang earlier in the day to say we would be arriving later.Reception asked what time as food finished being served at 9pm.I was happy to know this + we stopped on route as our arrival time was due to be 9 30.We had a lovely spacious room and enjoyed a few drinks in the bar Only small quip: barman didn't let the Guinness settle before top up.Told me ”that will be grand in a few minutes” To me that indicates he knew he should wait.Tasted lovely! Did ask what type of tonic I would like for gin which I was happy about

OUTSTANDING HOTEL SERVICE! we got married on Friday 12th May in County Armagh, where we then travelled to Cabra Castle for our reception. We have had non stop compliments on this venue. The staff were amazing & I will be forever grateful for how well our day went due to the staff. A big thank you to all staff but a special mention to Emma Gorman, who directed our wedding from start to finish & without her we would have been lost. My now husband is a very shy person around new people & never felt more at ease with Emma. She has never stopped checking in with us on the run up to it and we were honestly so sad the wedding is now over as we won’t be seeing her as regular! Another special mention to Carmel, whose attention to detail & on the day service is second to none. Thank you so much Cabra castle for creating the wedding of dreams. You really out do yourselves & we will be hearing of your amazing service from our wedding day for a long time to come. If anyone is ever thinking of booking a wedding - PLEASE view Cabra castle. Good, good, good

Had a one night stay here as we were visiting friends in the local are. I've good and and bad points about our stay. I'll start off with the bad. Far too expensive for what we got,our room wasn't the best. Very outdated and didn't feel clean. The sheets were clean and beds comfortable but the bathroom wasn't,broken tiles and rusty stains. The arm chair was disgusting,stained and old! Would not sit on it!! The shower was old and I just couldn't shower in it,it just didn't feel clean. Next morning when we were having breakfast there were a very disrupted guest who was verbally arguing with another guest, (I know you can't blame the hotel for a guests behavior)!!! However they let her carry on being disrupted for a very long time before they asked her to calm down in which didnt work. The guest contined to be verbally aggressive and no body enjoyed their breakfast due to this.and one lady expressed to me she felt uncomfortable. In my opinion the guest should have being asked to leave! The waiting staff were very young and fair enough probably didn't have the experience to deal with this,the management that was present kept telling the waiting staff what they were doing wrong in front of everybody where she should have done privately and it was only very trivial what she was criticising about she was more bothered about the trivial little things than the fact there was a very verbally disrupted guest!!!! Good points: breakfast was excellent,great choice and very fresh. Reception bar and waiting staff very friendly. Lovely bar and lovely reception area. But if the hotel is going to charge the prices they are charging in the future they really need to improve the standards of their rooms.
