The hotel is located by River Tay, the biggest river in Dundee. It has a beautiful view. The hotel is a short walk (10 mins) to the city centre. The room is of decent size and basic set-up. Apart from a Beefeater which serves decent food and drinks, there is really nothing much. They do provide free packets of teas, coffees, sugar and milk - you can just grab them from the reception area. The hotel is clearly operating on a very lean team, there is hardly anyone at the reception and you have to press a button to get someone to attend to you. And for room cleaning, you need to inform them before 12 noon - which I did on 2 occasions but yet they still failed to clean the room (apparently due to manpower shortage).

Excellent hotel in prime central location with views of the river Tay and both bridges. Staff very polite and helpful. Dinner and breakfast in the beefeater was great value for money. Room clean and warm with everything you would expect.

Really comfortable bed ( as in all Premier Inns). Close to The V&A Dundee. The restaurant is a Beefeater .

It was pretty good. I don't know why I was assigned a disabled room, but the room itself was perfectly fine. The location was also good; it was a short walk from where I got off the train.

I went to this hotel for a significant birthday due to its location at the side of the River Tay and the stunning views, however I was left very disappointed with the room not being what I booked, the window looking onto a wall providing very little light to the room, the fact that children were running up and down the corridor banging on doors meaning very little sleep was had. I did report this after my first night but I'm now being told by guest relations that the staff at the hotel are denying that it was reported, I was given the guest relations card and contact number by the staff member and told to contact them when I checked out and he would speak to the manager when he came in, as he was due in that day even though it was bank holiday Monday.

The rooms were clean, great location and comfortable but too many small cutbacks in the rooms. We couldn't have dinner both nights 1st night no chefs, restaurant was closed 2nd night we had to have a meal deal before we could eat but as we were leaving early we didn't want breakfast therefore we couldn't get served. Very poor on the dining front also not much choice of beers. Very disappointed with our stay and becoming a very expensive budget hotel.

This feels like a self service hotel experience but everything was clean, efficient, comfortable. It was easy and straightforward. Located close to shopping and restaurants and beautiful views of the Tay. Second time staying here and I’d be happy to stay again.

Room was fine but very limited bar hours and no food available. We would not have stayed if we had been informed. We booked so we could eat prior to going to the theatre and to be able to get a drink after. We could do neither. We would have cancelled had we known beforehand.

The River Tay is right in front of the hotel, and a great stay is stretching out ahead of you too, at Premier Inn Dundee Centre. We're just five minutes walk from all the shops, and close to the lively concerts at Slessor Gardens on the waterfront too. Scott's Discovery Ship is waiting for you in the harbour, and there are plenty of other discoveries to be made. What about a round of golf at legendary St Andrews? Or a fascinating trip to the Sensation Science Centre? If you’re looking to explore the lowlands while you’re here, there’s also great transport links get you there in no time. Then come back for some delicious food in our Beefeater restaurant and a great night's sleep in our extra-comfy beds.
