Location in the outskirts of town but what a view from the hill top! Likely the best view in Dunedin. We stayed in the stables with shared bathrooms, the amazing gardens and castle is an amazing and unique experience. Kudos to the senior guard, very friendly serving staff and the cooks as well for the best breakfast on our 23 days NZ trip. Finally, fully respect the love of the owners for the castle, to try to conserve it and all revenue from the hotel and attractions is fully used to restore with loving care which is still on going

I don't know why the sheets are stained. My friend said there were hair or other unidentified hairs on her bed. Anyway, the bed is clean and everything else is satisfactory.
