This hotel is located within the Mingsha Mountain scenic area, and if you have kids, they can enjoy sandboarding for free. The rooms are RVs, situated right in the heart of the desert, which is absolutely fantastic and offers a top-notch experience. It's only about a 10-minute drive to the East Gate of Mingsha Mountain Crescent Spring. The disposable amenities are incredibly comprehensive, including disposable towels, bath towels, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and more. The staff are also very enthusiastic.

The butler service was excellent and very responsive. We stayed in both the RV and the tent. My family in the tent said the wind was so strong at night they felt like they were going to be blown away, haha, but the tent was beautiful and still worth experiencing. The breakfast buffet was very good. It's truly impressive to have so many fresh vegetables available in the desert. When we visited, there was a bonfire party and folk music performance, though the butler mentioned it's not held every night. I came here last year and thought this hotel, deep in the desert, was amazing. Unlike other tent hotels that put up a bunch of haphazard things just to attract guests, this one was just a large expanse of clean, simple desert. The environment was elegant and refined, and the experience far exceeded my expectations. I raved about it to my family when I got back. To be honest, this year was a bit disappointing because I noticed they seemed to be setting up amusement rides like carousels. The grounds looked messy and it wasn't as serene as last year. And a carousel in the middle of the desert really feels superfluous... The kids were all busy digging, sandboarding, and socializing. I really hope it doesn't turn into a messy tent hotel. However, the butlers were all very dedicated and provided excellent service, which is something I can't fault.

We upgraded to a tent room, and it was incredibly clean and hygienic. All the toiletries, bath towels, and hand towels were single-use, which was very reassuring. What's truly worth mentioning is the water pressure – the shower was surprisingly powerful, making showering an absolute delight! The water pressure in the city hotels we stayed in the following days couldn't compare to this glamping site. The environment is simply fantastic, offering the quiet solitude of the entire desert. The ATV desert buggy ride takes you to a high peak, which is perfect for amazing photos. Sandboarding was a blast for the kids, and the travel photography captured the beauty of the whole beach without the crowds. Plus, the butler service was excellent – they responded promptly to all our questions and were always available, which was wonderful. Just a heads-up: it can get windy at night, and the tent makes some noise. I was a bit scared at first, but I eventually got used to it. For first-timers, you can sleep soundly; don't worry like I did! 😄

This hotel is truly excellent, it feels like it's right behind Mingsha Mountain. Originally, I wasn't that interested in the Mogao Grottoes when I came to Dunhuang, but after staying at this hotel, I feel like I don't even need to go to Mingsha Mountain. You can just play directly on the hotel grounds. Climb up the sand dune and you can see the drone show at Mingsha Mountain at night, avoiding the crowds. This saved us over 200 yuan in total for two people on entrance tickets. Sandboarding is free to enjoy, and the hotel even offered a complimentary desert buggy experience 👍. Our originally booked RV was upgraded to a tent, which was very spacious and nice. For those who dislike crowded places, I highly recommend staying here. You get the same desert landscape, and there are even musical performances at night, creating a fantastic atmosphere! Besides not being able to ride camels, there are plenty of other places in Qinghai and Gansu where you can. (Since we stayed in a tent, be prepared for absolutely no soundproofing; it's essentially high-end camping.)

One of the most unforgettable hotels on this Qinghai-Gansu trip. It boasts stunning views of Mingsha Mountain and is incredibly peaceful. The upgraded family tent was very comfortable, perfect temperature-wise. The romantic sunset dinner in the desert left a deep impression. And on the way back to the room over the dunes at night, we saw a sky full of stars.

The front desk lady was so kind and proactively upgraded my room! The RV was fantastic and my kids absolutely loved it. Plenty of hot water and the air conditioning was nice and cool. It was so relaxing to enjoy a beer and stargaze in the desert. We had a whole stretch of desert to ourselves, perfect for sandboarding and riding ATVs. I'm so glad we didn't take the kids to the crowded Mingsha Mountain. This hotel really made our Dunhuang trip amazing!
