Hotel environment and location: Very easy to find. The caisson ceiling in the lobby immediately evokes Dunhuang's essence, and the room balcony offers a view of Mingsha Mountain in the distance. The hotel as a whole has a bit of a Middle Eastern and exotic vibe, with a color palette that suits a desert hotel style – minimalist and artistic. Service: I personally enjoy staying in 'wild luxury' hotels everywhere because I appreciate the personalized, butler-style service. From the moment of welcome to fulfilling individual room requests, service is ubiquitous. My family celebrated a birthday, and I communicated with the butler beforehand, who helped with a lot of preparations. Excellent! During my stay, I essentially just reached out to the butler for any needs, enjoying the quiet time here and letting go of everything to live in the moment! Other: The travel photography here is also fantastic, perfect for any girl looking to get some great shots. It gives you a sense of high-end resort living with a Dunhuang imprint, very immersive. Recommended for friends who want an immersive experience and a quiet, relaxing getaway!

The hotel boasts a magnificent decor, and the rooms are spacious and bright, fully equipped with all amenities, including a large bathtub. The staff's service was excellent, providing a fantastic experience. The butler service was particularly thoughtful and attentive. The photography session with Platinum Palace National Photography was also professional, and the post-production service was very thorough. I'll definitely be back!

Stepping into the hotel lobby instantly transports you to the Middle East. The hotel isn't large, but every picture turns out stunning. Dunhuang isn't big, so the hotel's location makes it convenient to get anywhere.

Hotel Location: The Gandan Wanda Mandarin is perfectly situated between the Mogao Grottoes and Mingsha Mountain, with both attractions just an 8-9 minute drive away. The location is absolutely fantastic. Hotel Room: We booked a King Bed room (Ting Sha King Bed) and, since it was the off-season, the housekeeper kindly upgraded us to a suite. The room type was incredibly quiet and private, with windows in both the living room and bedroom that opened directly onto a balcony. The modern interior design blended seamlessly with the natural outdoor scenery, creating a beautiful interplay. The dual sinks were also very convenient. Room Service: The butler service was incredibly attentive. Immediately after booking on Trip.com, we received a call. They provided a hotpot for two, which was delicately flavored, along with stir-fried dishes and ramen. We also received a welcome amenity in the room, including a fruit platter, pastries, and an IFFIDIA gift box – perfect for nourishing our skin in the dry weather. In the evening, there was a sweet and warming white fungus soup, which helped us fall asleep. The room's heating was ample, and a humidifier was provided. The toiletries were La Prairie, giving us peace of mind, and the slippers were exceptionally comfortable. Outside the hotel lobby, there were lounge chairs and blankets for stargazing, allowing us to admire the starry night sky! The Gandan Wanda Mandarin is definitely the best hotel choice when visiting Dunhuang!!!

A truly unique stay experience. It's a charming little courtyard with single-story rooms. The room's domed ceiling mimics the Mogao Grottoes' caisson ceilings, and they even provide a Dyson hairdryer! The toiletries were excellent too. If you usually stay in business hotels, this place is definitely worth trying for a different experience. If you're not in a hurry, it's wonderfully comfortable and peaceful to just relax and unwind in the courtyard.

Choosing Wanda Vista Dunhuang was definitely the right decision for this trip. The service was genuinely excellent; whether it was the butler shuttle service to and from attractions or dining in the restaurant, I felt a warm and comfortable vibe everywhere. Out of all the hotels I've stayed in, I rarely feel compelled to write such a positive review. Their 'soft power' is truly hard to replicate. The restaurant's dishes are outstanding, I highly recommend trying them!
