Binhe International Hotel (Dunhuang Night Market)

They offer airport pick-up service, and it's within walking distance to the night market. Getting to Mogao Grottoes and Mingsha Mountain by taxi isn't far either. The staff were very friendly, and the room was clean and tidy.

The room was pretty good, and the front desk staff provided excellent service, especially the lady working the night shift on the 16th. She was very enthusiastic and friendly, even reminding me about things, which was a great help.

Traveling with kids, the front desk service was excellent and very thoughtful. The children loved the bunk beds, and the room was spacious, perfect for families. The breakfast selection was a bit limited, and it was a shame not to try the apricot peel tea, but the handmade beef noodles were delicious. A big thank you to the front desk lady for letting me print several pages of my kids' homework.

The service was excellent, with 24-hour airport pick-up. My flight was delayed, and they waited an extra 30 minutes, yet still maintained a warm and welcoming attitude – highly commendable! The environment and hygiene were both good. The air conditioning and underfloor heating in the room worked perfectly, so it wasn't cold at all. Definitely recommended.

The hotel's location is excellent, backing onto a local food street (much richer than a night market) and facing a riverside BBQ street. It's just a few steps to the Danghe Scenic Belt, and not far from the night market. The service is great, and local taxi drivers speak highly of it. The lobby offers coffee and red date tea, plus a complete set of Mogao Grottoes mural rubbings and stamps, which is quite fun for stamp-collecting tourists. The room's underfloor heating and bedding are very comfortable; it's warm enough inside that you need to use the AC for cooling. A humidifier is also provided, and the TV comes with a VIP membership. For breakfast, the freshly made hot options include beef noodles, lamb soup, and wontons. The variety isn't huge, but the taste is decent. The only minor drawback is the laundry and drying facilities. The three self-service washer-dryer units are convenient, but the dryer's hot air power isn't very strong. Winter clothes take a couple of hours and still don't fully dry. Fortunately, Dunhuang has low humidity, so hanging them in the room overnight is sufficient. This is something they might consider upgrading.

Even in the off-season, Dunhuang hotels offer great prices, and I ended up choosing this one, which was incredibly good value for money. The facade isn't grand, but the hotel facilities are quite new and clean. The breakfast selection and quality were both good. It's also within walking distance of the night market and bookstores. I honestly recommend it.
