Stayed for two nights with some friends, wish we had stayed longer. On the main street, car park at rear for about 20 odd cars. Short flight of steps up from the street to reception, staff were friendly, chatty and helpful. very nice. Rooms were large, big shower, Queen sized bed in mine, TV, coffee, hair dryer etc. TV, plenty of power sockets, no USB socket so bring adapter for your gizmo's. fridge with mini bar, prices were very good and same as in bar downstairs or outside in cafe etc. My room over looked the side road, blinds down during the day to keep heat out, and of course dark at night, although I opened mine as I did the window, even so the odd car, etc didn't stop me having a good nights sleep. Buffet breakfast, streaky bacon (super!!) scrambled eggs, cold meats, cheese, cereals, fruits etc etc. Nice sized dining room with various table options, high stool, etc. Nice bar downstairs also an outside veranda/patio area with parasol tables to keep the sun off. Good selection of beer, wines, spirits in the bar. All staff I spoke with were great, helpful and willing to chat if not busy. A 6 minute walk from the market square where there are about 10 different bars/bistro/cafe etc for meals. Spoilt for choice really. And shops, did I mention shops. Lots of shops for just about anything you want. Train station close by, but didn't use it so can't say if it is a walk or a taxi ride. Nice big lift, a little slow maybe, but this is a grand old hotel in the old style, not glass and metal! I'm struggling to say something was wrong, but to be honest I can't. It was just a very nice place to stay. One thing maybe, but the hotel may have an answer. About 3/4 steps up from pavement, then about 4 more inside. There is a ramp from car park, but I'm sure I also saw steps back there so not a 100% sure on mobility access - sorry about that.
