Apartment 9- I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and dissatisfaction with the apartment I booked at Royal Group Apartments Edinburgh from 22/08/25 to 24/08/25. The property was advertised as comfortable accommodation well-maintained, but what I found upon arrival was completely different and unacceptable. The apartment we were allocated was not as advertised in the listing photos. It was in a state of disrepair and in urgent need of a deep clean and redecoration. Specifically, I found the following issues: * Cleanliness: The apartment felt dirty with an unpleasant odour of damp even when the windows were open, the bathroom had mold and mil dew and was poorly finished this made the space feel unsanitary and uninviting. The walls were stained with what looked like damp and the fridge freezer compartment was broken and our food was ruined by water leaking into the fridge and the fridge had a constant trail of water running across the kitchen floor. There was limited cups to use, cups were chipped and stained and the kitchen sink was stained brown which again made it feel unsanitary. * Decor and Furnishings: The apartment is in dire need of redecorating. The paint is yellow, there are scuff marks and stains on the walls, burn mark on the carpet and the furniture is worn out and damaged and didn't feel comfortable to be able to sit and relax on. This is not the standard one would expect from a rental property, especially one that was advertised with such high-quality photos. The condition of this apartment is a significant misrepresentation of what was advertised. We have tried contacting the company numerous times and have received no response!!
