Destiny - Burnet Point

This is a newly built student dormitory. The front desk staff were polite. The price I paid was quite high, probably because there was a concert and it was a weekend. The usual price is actually quite reasonable. I really liked this dorm; it was my first time experiencing something like it. I noticed many of the residents were European and American tourists, as well as Chinese tourists. When I checked in, I met some students who were all very friendly and even helped me with directions. There's also a study room on the top floor, with a kitchen where you can boil water and prepare simple meals. From the top floor, you can see Arthur's Seat.

The location is good, very close to the bus stop, and within walking distance to main attractions. Although it's near two large supermarkets, there are no convenience stores around. The room is a studio with cooking facilities, but it only has basic items like pots, bowls, and cutlery, no cooking oil or seasonings, so you can only prepare the simplest meals. The bathroom is large but has an odor, and water tends to spread all over the bathroom when showering. We stayed for six nights, and no one came to clean or empty the trash. On the third day, we found old trash from previous guests in the bin. Accommodation in Edinburgh is very expensive, so for budget travelers, this is a pretty good option.

I stayed in a single room; it was small but safe and clean. It was definitely enough for sleeping, but don't expect a luxurious holiday experience. The value for money was pretty good though!

Clean and safe, with convenient self-service laundry and a functional kitchen and other amenities. The only downside is the small shower.

Overall, it's a good hotel. The room has a bed, wardrobe, internet, a desk and chair, and a spacious bathroom. You can request a hairdryer, iron, and toiletries from reception. There's also a shared kitchen available for cooking and food storage. Other pros include entertainment rooms and a laundry facility. On the downside, it's not very close to the city center, the access to rooms is multi-level, the bed is small for two people, and you have to get all the extra amenities from reception.
