It was my first time staying at a hostel so I was a bit nervous but it was incredibly clean. I felt very comfortable throughout my stay! On top of that, the drinks of bar were so cheap and they even have a student discount,which was amazing. Just a quick hands up: the breakfast was listed as starting at 6:30,but it actually started at 7:00. Other than that, everything was perfect. I would definitely stay here again when I come back to Edinburgh.

I booked a room for 30 people, and it wasn't crowded at all. We had a view of the castle from the window. There's a safe, but you need to bring your own lock. It's very close to the Dog Cemetery. The ground floor is a bar. My only real complaint is that there's no communal kitchen, so we couldn't cook, even though the platform said cooking facilities were available. I hope the platform takes note of this.

The hotel's location is excellent, close to all the attractions. The breakfast offers good value for money, and hot water is available. The front desk staff are very friendly. There are plenty of places to eat nearby. I stayed in a female dormitory, and everyone was very quiet.

The hostel is centrally located to many attractions. It was neat and clean. Well managed. The whole staff was co-operative. I would suggest if the can put a lift to go to the hostel rooms it will be of great help for elderly people like me.

I wouldn't recommend it. Getting here from the train station involves climbing two huge flights of stairs with no elevator. The service was very average, it wasn't particularly clean, and it was quite inconvenient. Their English wasn't great and their accent was heavy, making it hard to understand at times. Also, they charge for luggage storage.
