Excellent location. Clean room and decent sized. Shared areas smell of damp. Good shared cooking space but no pots or pans. There is zero sound proofing! You can hear every sound from other rooms. Floorboards creak in every part of the accommodation. Very noisy outside until 1:30 am. Lots of guests hanging around to check in/make phone calls/smoke. I had an issue at check in with providing photographic ID. I had booked on a 3rd party website and there is no mention of this. Was advised it was in the T&C’s but cannot see any mention of it. Due to my advancing years, this is not something I carry but with the help of staff it was rectified. Check in was quite a long process but staff are very nice.

My recent stay at Destiny Student was fantastic! The staff greeted me warmly and helped with my luggage immediately. The room was spotless, spacious, and had a comfortable bed that guaranteed a good night’s sleep. The location is perfect—close to shops and public transport. The breakfast offered a wide variety of fresh options, from pastries to hot dishes. I especially appreciated the friendly front desk service, which gave great local tips. I’ll definitely choose this hotel again on my next trip and recommend it to friends!

Second time we have stayed here and would certainly return. For August (during the Fringe) the price is good. Shared bathrooms are not ideal but that is indicated in the price. The self catering kitchen was well equipped attractive. Rooms are small but adequate as you are not in Edinburgh to spend much time in your room. The staff were excellent and the location perfect for us. It can get a bit warm in good weather but they can provide fans.

A trip for enjoyment and seeing sites in Edinburgh. During our stay, we stayed. destiny student medical court over half the time. We were in Edinburgh almost 2 weeks.

Very good location for the fringe. Friendly and helpful staff. Very clean -would be useful to have more mugs in kitchen and be great if the TIV was acessible in the kitchen , but overall very good. Hangers in the wardrobes be good
