Grassmarket Apartment with Castle View

Yes to castle view. Edinburgh is all stairs so we expected it but worked hard to get to the top. Lol. Lovely flat with castle views as promised. Everything was tidy and organized. It was a very nice place even tho we weren’t there very long. I’d have liked a blow dryer for my hair but there were nice space heaters so it all worked out.

It can’t be said enough that there are lots of stairs involved in reaching the flat, both to the main door and then to the flat. I happened to be booked on the top floor so that was 4 flights to carry my luggage. That said, it’s kind of unavoidable in many parts of Edinburgh if you’re not staying in a big hotel. Otherwise, the view of the castle and the rest of the Old Town is hard to beat. The kitchen is well equipped with newer appliances and the bathroom is very clean with newer commode, sink, shower. I did have a spot of trouble with the WiFi but staff were very responsive and helpful.

We had all the amenities of home. Our hosts were awesome and very helpful…even providing tips and places to visit. You will not be disappointed staying here!
