24 Royal Terrace

The staff were very nice and accommodating. The shower was superb. I enjoyed the view of the garden. A couple of things that I didn't like was that I could hear the noise from the hallway too loudly. even after 10 pm, I could hear people talk outside, although they weren't talking loudly. Also, It is located some distance away from the city center. It looks closer on the map, but actually walking was longer.

This wonderful art-filled boutique hotel was perfect for our family of 4 (2 rooms). Location is great. It rained the entire time we were there, so we took a lot of Ubers, but if the weather had been better, we would have walked. The staff were all wonderfully attentive. Highly recommend!

Remarkable experience from the moment I walked through the door to the moment I left. The staff were both friendly and exceptionally helpful. I didn’t need to ask for help hauling my bag to the top floor; it was graciously offered (and appreciated!). The decor was beautiful, and the artwork really sets this hotel apart from all others. My room was as cozy as it was gorgeous. Easy walk to/from the train station, too!

Loved this hotel! The staff were really friendly and helpful; The room was bright, airy and super clean with beautiful views up the garden to the park. I loved the stylish, artistic decoration throughout the hotel. A great location, Everywhere was easily accessible

We spent 3 nights here for my husband's birthday. It was fantastic. It was a surprise for him and I can't thank the staff enough for their efforts. Our friends joined us (also as a surprise) and the co-ordination was fabulous. The rooms are lovely, from the regular double to the Junior Suite, they are all uniquely decorated, with large beds. They also have a TV, Bladeless tower fan, nice toiletries, hair dryer, cafetiere (with nice coffee) and a good selection of tea. Breakfast is delicious from the fresh pastries or yoghurt to the Full Scottish, there's something for everyone. As it says on there website, there is no lift, so remember to ask for a lower down room if you don't fancy all the stairs. However, if you do like the thought of the top floor, the staff are only too happy to carry your luggage for you. It was also a very quiet location. You can't believe that one of the main roads through Edinburgh is just a stone's throw away. There is the option to book a Whisky Tasting with Tony. If you like Whisky, I would recommend this. Tony has a lot of knowledge and is happy to pass it on. Location wise, this Hotel is great. There are bars, restaurants, The Playhouse and Princes Street all within a 15 min walk. Less than 10 mins gets you to the nearest Tram stop! We took a taxi to The Old Town, to visit the National Museum of Scotland & it was around £10, so not bad. We would have walked (around 30 mins) but it was raining. Anyway, suffice to say, we will definitely use this hotel again. All of the staff are wonderful.

Beautiful and quirky decor, the whisky bar is great and the staff superb. The room was well presented with a mini bar and robes. Sadly the room was not very warm, there was an oil filled radiator which saved the day as the room radiator was not on for very long and was not warm.

This is my second visit to this lovely Hotel. Stayed for two nights 14th / 16th March and yet again had a great stay. I had the slightly larger single room this time which made my stay even better. I have stated in my previous review that the breakfast choices are superb. If you like a cooked breakfast, they cannot be better. The location is good, the staff are extremely pleasant and friendly. No nagatived regarding this Hotel.

The hotel is beautifully decorated and well looked after. I loved all the artwork and the little extras in the room. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The breakfast is continental with the option to order hot food. I will definitely be returning

We visited as a family of 6 adults for a 3 night city break. The hotel is located on the stunning royal terrace close to Holyrood palace. The interior is quirky and fun with lots of interesting art. The rooms all seemed to be decorated differently and were very clean and well-kitted out. We had a view of the garden and it was nice and quiet. Breakfast was lovely with a good choice of continental or hot food options. We had drinks in the bar in the evenings which had a really chilled vibe. We didn’t get chance to have a whiskey tasting but it looked fab!
