Unfortunately, the kitchen extractor fan on the opposite wall from the hob was not functioning, and it was unclear how to operate the main extractor fan. The instruction to download an app from a notice on the kitchen cupboard is not a reasonable or relaxing solution for guests wishing to use the kitchen/or resolve an emergency. (Suggestions: Add some laminated instructions). Due to the extractor failure and the fact that the windows only opened a quarter of the way, the apartment could not be adequately ventilated. This resulted in the fire alarm being triggered, and the fire brigade attending the property with all guests in the street! The fire brigade confirmed that the extractor fan was not working and also raised concerns about the limited window openings, which pose a safety issue. Despite the seriousness of the incident, we received no immediate contact, apology, or welfare check from the management team. I had to reach out myself, which was disappointing—especially as I was travelling with my son (a minor). The follow-up messages received were unprofessional and gave the impression that the issue was user error rather than a property fault. - No formal apology and acknowledgment of the issue - No apologies or gesture of goodwill - Reflect on the distress and inconvenience people experience whilst they are on a break aimed to recharge! - Review safety and maintenance checks to ensure this does not happen again. However, the lack of accountability and aftercare from management significantly undermined the overall experience.

Apartment is very nice with a limited amount of items in the kitchen and bath. LIghting is very low. Lights in the bedroom do not give off much light and the area around the kitchen table needs a light. The bed is only a double, very small for 2 people to sleep comfortably. I was surprised, since Marriott has always done their best with the beds and bedding in a number of other hotels we have stayed in. The pictures on the internet must have been taken in daylight hours. Nighttime is much different.
