Moxy Edinburgh Fountainbridge

I stayed at Moxy for four nights. To be honest, the reception staff provided good service and a warm welcome, including a welcome drink, which I appreciated. However, I was disappointed with the room cleanliness. When I checked the duvet, I found it was very dirty, with many yellow stains. I requested that housekeeping change it. The electric kettle in the room was also very dirty inside, with large visible stains. Unfortunately, I forgot to take photos at the time. More importantly, when I requested room cleaning, I waited nearly two hours without any service. The front desk staff informed me that the housekeeping team was not responding to messages. While I understand operational challenges can happen, I believe guests should be kept informed in a timely manner. Overall, I feel that the housekeeping standards and responsiveness need improvement.

Great hotel, had a cozy and comfortable stay. Would definitely recommend it.

my room is right next to a construction site. every morning at 7am, there’s construction work, non-stop, it’s super noisy and very dusty, the dust and dirt were everywhere if you opt to open the window. but if you don’t, the room can get really stuffy at night. the air conditioning is way too warm and we cannot tune done the temperature, it went up from 24 to 27 after we switched it on for 30min. We have no choice but to switch it off and opened the window. the noise from the construction site woke us up every morning, it’s quite annoying and disturbing furthermore, the luggage storage service is not safe at all, no one guards the luggage and they didn’t even give you a tag, no one knows if others will take your luggage
