Summer Stays at The University of Edinburgh

The room was well-equipped with all the essentials, including toilet paper, shower gel, and soap. A hairdryer could be borrowed from the front desk. Breakfast was plentiful, featuring baked goods, fruit, sausages, milk, eggs, and various beverages. The front desk staff were very helpful; they provided a detailed map and answered all our questions when we asked for directions to Arthur's Seat. Getting to the main attractions was easy: you could take a bus (20+ minutes), a taxi (8 minutes), or walk (20+ minutes), making it very convenient for getting around. The campus itself was beautiful, with lush green trees, castle-like buildings, and a variety of flowers. It was also quiet at night, ensuring a good night's sleep. For food delivery, you can use the address 19 Holyrood Park Road. Overall, I was quite satisfied with everything.

The views are absolutely stunning, and the breakfast was impeccable. However, the room facilities were pretty basic, like a standard college dorm.

The room was spotless and well-maintained. For UK standards, the space was really quite generous! The front desk staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. What truly made this stay perfect for me was how welcoming they were to babies. And the breakfast! A meal out here would easily set you back over ten pounds, so having breakfast included was just brilliant. They offered a great selection of fresh fruit and delicious coffee. Traveling with my baby and mother, we absolutely loved it here. This place is super popular, so next time I'll definitely have to book much further in advance!

Excellent! It's clean, hygienic, and has a lovely atmosphere. The receptionist was very welcoming and enthusiastic. The breakfast, in particular, was amazing! There was meat, fried eggs, various breads, freshly made yogurt, fruits, bagels, and freshly ground coffee... After checking in, the dormitory is on your left. C1105 is to the left of Block A, as shown in picture four.

This is student accommodation, so don't set your expectations too high. There are quite a few people coming and going during the summer. The breakfast is quite good, and it's about a 20-minute walk to the University of Edinburgh. The area around the summer stay isn't very convenient, and you can see the surrounding environment in the pictures. I'd like to give a shout-out to Trip.com; their service is really excellent, trustworthy, and reassuring.

Edinburgh is a truly beautiful city. I've never stayed in a university dorm abroad before, so this offered a unique opportunity to experience campus life. The breakfast was a buffet and absolutely delicious.

The breakfast is really great, even better than a hotel's, I ate so much every day, haha! 😂 Housekeeping isn't daily; they clean if you stay over a week. You need to bring all your own toiletries. For the single rooms, there are quite a few shared bathrooms, usually two or three rooms sharing one. Once you get used to it, showering and using the toilet aren't an issue. The free luggage storage is also a nice touch. Overall, it's excellent value for money!

A wonderful resort-like experience, with a beautiful campus environment, a rich and delicious breakfast, and quiet, comfortable rooms. The only downside was the lack of a hairdryer.

Summer Hall Hotel offered me a glimpse into student life again! It's not far from Edinburgh's Old Town, just a few minutes by taxi. You can also take bus numbers 30 or 33 – just get off at the South Bridge stop, and you're right at the Royal Mile 😊.
