The first floor has a living room, eat-in-kitchen, bedroom and full bathroom. The second floor has 3 bedrooms and a full bathroom. Free parking in the driveway for 3-4 cars. A private backyard with patio. The house is a 10-min walk to Metropark Train Station. NYC in 35-40 minutes. EWR in 20. Philadelphia in 90. Washington, Boston, etc. also easily accessible.
This is a private, single-family home and it has 4 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. There is a front and back yard not shared with anyone. You will have plenty of space for your whole group/family at this property. The home is located in a quiet, residential neighborhood.
You will have access to the entire property (except for the basement which is for the owner’s storage).
NJ Transit and Amtrak stop at Metropark Station (a 10 minute walk from the house — 0.5 miles or 0.8 km). You can arrive at Newark airport (EWR) in 20-25 minutes, New York City in 35-45 minutes, and Philadelphia in about 90 minutes. This house is ideally located for travel all around the Eastern United States.

Self check-in and check-out are available. There is a lockbox with keys at the entry door to the building. We will send you the code to the lock box on the day of your arrival.
The check-in window is 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm. If you are planning to arrive after 11:00 pm, you must clear this with us. No one will be available to support you during check-in if you arrive very late at night (after 11:00 pm) and we will not give refunds if you have issues checking in after 11 pm. The house does not have luggage storage.
Please note, the fireplace in the living room is decorative only and non-operational. Guests should not attempt to use the fireplace.
This is an older house that shows some signs of wear and tear. Some recent guests have arrived with higher expectations than what we can provide given the age of the house and layout of the house. The house looks like the photos in the listing and we keep it functional and clean. It is a basic house with basic amenities. If you are looking for a functional and competitively priced place relatively close to New York City and Newark Airport (EWR), this would be a good house for you. If you are looking for a modern and luxury stay, this is probably not the place for you.
We also just want to make clear that you are renting a private house and not a hotel room. There are many differences between house rentals and hotels, and some newer guests may not realize it. Hotels are large and often have many rooms, and the ability to change your room should issues arise. Hotels also have staff 24/7 that can help you with every issue or questions that you may have. On the other hand, we are a small operation and manage our listings to the best of our ability. We try hard to create a good experience for guests. We are including this disclaimer here because we have recently seen a rise in guests that seem to view our listing as very similar to a hotel, but in reality it is quite different. Before you arrive you will be asked to complete guest verification through third-party provider Truvi. This is done to ensure we are keeping up-to-date with short-term rental regulations as well as providing both our guests and our properties with extra protection. Truvi will contact you via email and/or text to complete the verification. You will receive the email and/or text about 30 minutes after you confirm your booking. Please complete the verification prior to arriving at the property to enable a quick and easy check-in process..
Guests are responsible for bagging all garbage and placing the bags in the bins outside the building, or at the curb, as instructed by the host (host will communicate with guest regarding this).
If your unit has a thermostat and the thermostat is locked, do not tamper with it or try to break open the lock. Doing so is called vandalism and is highly inappropriate. We will withhold your security deposit if you do this and possible submit for more damages depending on the situation.
Also, guests must leave the apartment in the condition they found it (e.g. no leftover food, nothing that creates a need for excessive or deep cleaning). Please wash all dishes that you use, remove food that you've brought in, and discard all trash. Our cleaning fee is lower than most and it covers basic cleaning tasks like washing of linens and towels, vacuuming, etc. The cleaning fee does not cover deep cleaning, excessive kitchen and bathroom cleaning, etc. Thanks for your cooperation!
If you check out late, there will be a $100 per hour fee for each hour or fraction of an hour that you stay beyond the check out time.
If you smoke, use incense, use drugs of any kind (including marijuana and cannabis) anywhere on the property including outside areas and common areas, we will charge a $300 fee. If there are damages related to smoking or drug use, we will charge fees in addition to this $300.
