Reviews of Hotels in Edmonton

Not cleaned well, halls and common areas run down, banged up and scuffed, much of common areas had dirty carpets, dust and debris in corners. Cleaners took away dirty towels but did not replace them. We had to check out by 6am to catch a flight so did not have time to go looking for someone to get us towels. Chose to leave without showering. Disappointing breakfast, very basic and poor selection. Rooms were a little cleaner, but nothing like the pictures. And at over $200 a night we would advise to stay elsewhere.

Great hotel, great location, very friendly staff! We stayed here one year ago and loved it so much we came back the next time we came to Edmonton. We loved everything, modern, suites are very well set up. We took advantage of the kitchen! The bathroom is clean and beautiful. My only criticism is the soundproofing could be better.

Seemed under staffed. Long wait times. Took 40 minutes waiting in line to check in. Long wait times with the servers were delivering room service while waiting on tables too. Our room was missing coffee items.

I recently stayed at the Element West Edmonton hotel, and there was far more good than bad. The beds were really comfortable, the TVs can sign you in to your streaming accounts, and the breakfast was a step up with a dude making omelettes to go with better quality breakfast foods (though my kids missed the waffle/pancake option that's usually a staple at hotel breakfasts). My one issue is that when booking the hotel, I chose to book a one bedroom suite thinking that there was actually a bedroom (you know, with a door that closes, something, anything to keep it private from the rest of the suite). Turns out, there isn't. It's completely open to the rest of the suite and if I had known that I probably wouldn't have paid extra just so I could change in the bathroom to not scar my kids. You should also know that the pool area and fitness centre is shared with the Four Points next door and was quite busy when we were there. The staff were great, we were staying there with a bunch of our family and they really made us feel welcome to use the common areas to gather, it put us at ease and made our stay just that much better.

Front checkin staff were very professional however the coffee shop and dining area was a disaster..45 mins to order breakfast, unacceptable. After 2 years of slowdown in the Hotel and restaurant business they could’ve cleaned and updated their rooms. Bathrooms need extreme updating, elevators not working, the name Westin used to mean elite.

I recently broke my leg and went Solo to Edmonton for a follow up appointment. I booked this hotel primarily for its location. I booked a wheelchair assessable room. I was unable to talk to anyone at the hotel as all reservations are centralised. When I arrived it was clear that the front desk staff had not looked at the reservation prior to my arrival. They did not have a wheelchair available as requested. They booked me into an Accessible room. The room had a huge and very heavy door, if I had been on my own, it would have been very difficult to manage. The accessible bathroom came complete with a shiny dangerous Bathtub! The soap and shampoo were lowered but there was no bars or shower chair available. The hand held shower was completely inaccessible as it was mounted out of reach. Had I had a wheelchair, there was not enough space between the bed and dresser to manoeuvre it. There was no remote to operate the heater/ air conditioner After being unable to locate a shower chair (something that should have been arranged prior to my arrival) the Front desk offered me a room in an adjoining hotel. By this point I was pretty much settled so declined this offer. I am appalled that a company like Sheraton would miss this on so many levels. Detailed standards exist for disabled access. My disability is temporary and relatively minor, this kind of service is appalling and demoralising for the disabled population. Sheraton, I am deeply disappointed and saddened by your disregard and disrespect.
