Outstanding old world hotel in the heart of the city with 2 very good restaurants. Very large selection of breakfast food available buffet style.. Rooms large and clean with private bath. Parking also available onsite but it's first come with no reservation available. Staff very helpful and friendly..

a group of forty of us visited Eisenach for a couple of days as part of a European railfanning trip. Aside from Eisenach being a beautiful city and the hotel in an extremely convenient location both from the city center and the train station, it's a beautiful hotel with spacious (for European standards) rooms and very friendly staff. The hotel helped us arrange a reception with sparkling wine and was very accomodating of participants with special needs. Bravo! We will certainly be back!

Centrally located with reserved parking available. Rooms were small (as are the rooms in many old hotels in this part of the world) and somewhat uncomfortable (headboard on the bed, in particular) ...very small shower. Took a long time to warm up the room on a cold morning. But the room was very clean, and the check-in/check-out was easy. Not many clothes hangers and did not notice hooks for coats. Breakfast buffet was delicious with a lot to choose from. The room was too small to accommodate the four of us when we wanted to sit around and share the bottle of wine we brought with us. To be fair, there is what looks like a nice bar behind reception, be we didn't feel good about sitting down there with our own bottle of wine. There is also a great restaurant on the property.

This is an update on previous visits of Kaiserhof. Have had many stays during past years. This was my first return post-covid times. I really do like the style of this hotel. They are not trying to be "ultra modern boutique" - rather the opposite. And do it wholeheartedly. Carpets, brown panels, brass and marble. Well, you can like it or not - for me it's a genuine approach with a comfortable - and almost cosy - effect. Kind and helpful staff. Affordable and still recommended indeed! PS Don't miss Kaiserhof's adjoined top restaurant "Turmschänke" - could be the best restaurant in Eisenach.

Kaiserhof is an old fasioned hotel - in its best sense. Brown panels, red/purple thick carpets, room keys that weighs a kilo... With its origin from the last century much of the old charm has been retained. Renovated several times it does however keep up with what you expect in a modern hotel. The reception/lounge/bar is really very nice with stucco and chandeliers hanging from the high ceiling. A good spot to relax after a long day. Rooms are quite stylish and lacks - thankfully - carpeting. Comfortable beds and all basic amenities you need. Breakfast is german-ish exstensive and is served in a light and bright breakfast room. Staff kind and helpful. Only problem is a single elevator, that takes its time between the floors. If a large group of guests arrives or leaves, prepare for some waiting. Kaiserhof has two restaurants: the fine dining "Turmschänke" (reviewed separately) and the simpler and very affordable "Zwinger" in the basement (also reviewed separately) where typically german dishes are served. If you like a touch of the old days, this is a very recommended hotel. If you on the other hand prefer a modern boutiqueish style, then look elsewhere.

Unfortunately, the only thing that has 4 stars here is the price! Of the booked offer "The cultural short trip" half was closed. (The booked restaurant was suddenly closed, the replacement restaurant far to walk and not at all on the same level, the voucher for the Luther House could not be used, because the house is closed on Mondays, but this had not yet spread to the responsible service staff! ) The hotel itself is a bit dusty and has a tiny, slow elevator. The bathrooms are extremely small. The minibar is screwed shut and there is no beverage service for the room. The bar does not sell normal bottled beer so I had to carry my open beer glass to the 3rd floor ! (Of course they didn't offer to serve the beer in the room). The service staff is trying , but for the most part incompetent ! (see above) The management is not capable of criticism! All in all does not correspond to 4 stars level! The price / performance ratio is not given !

Hôtel très bien tenu, parfaitement situé. Personnel efficace. Charme un brin désuet mais en parfait état. Bon rapport prestations/prix. seul bémol : un parking limité en places et avec une seule borne de recharge pour véhicule électrique

Solides klassisches Hotel in sehr gutem Zustand, das Zimmer war sehr sauber. Für Fahrräder gibt es einen Abstellraum, der über eine kurze schmale Treppe erreicht wird. Das Frühstücksbuffet war ebenfalls solide mit den Dingen, die man erwarten darf, aber auch nicht mehr. Bei der Wahl des Zimmers (Economy, Standard, Komfort) sollte man vor der Buchung mit dem Hotel Rücksprache halten, um nicht enttäuscht zu werden. Mein Einzelzimmer Komfort war eher recht klein und entsprach nicht meinen Erwartungen. Die Rezeption erläuterte mir, dass verschiedene Kriterien für die Kategorisierung zugrunde gelegt würden, u.a. auch die Größe des Badezimmers und die Lage zur Straße oder zum Hof. Die Webseite des Hotels lässt einen hierzu leider im Unklaren.

Hôtel très bien situé, charme cosy, chambres spacieuses et personnel charmant et attentionné. Du choix pour le Petit déjeuner . Un restaurant et une brasserie pour compléter le tout. Un petit manque, pas de snacks au bar pour accompagner une bière où un aperitif.

Das Hotel ist sehr praktisch in der Nähe des Bahnhofs am Rand der Altstadt gelegen = kurze Wege. Unsere Zimmer war sauber, hatte eine Klimaanlage, zwei Sitzgelegenheiten, ein bequemes Bett und zum Glück bekamen wir sogar eines der Balkonzimmer. Das Frühstück war sehr gut, das Personal in allen Hotelbereichen freundlich und professionell. Wir hatten ein schönes Wochenende im Kaiserhof. Danke!

Nettes Hotel mitten in der Stadt mit gut ausgestatteten Zimmern. Das Personal war immer freundlich und zuvorkommend. Der Alte Stil hat Charme und passt zu Eisenach. Die Wege in die Stadt und zu den ÖPNV sind kurz und somit ist das Hotel sehr gut erreichbar.

Beschränkte Parkmöglichkeit am Hotel. Ich musste da der Parkplatz voll war in einer nahegelegenen Seitenstrasse parken. Das Zimmer im 3. Stock war für eine Nacht ok, aber wie das Hotel zum 4-Sterne-Status kommt, frage ich mich? Die Einrichtung von Zimmer und Nasszelle entspricht für mich nicht diesem Standard. Das Frühstücksangebot war überschaubar und der Service wenig dem Gast zugeneigt. Ich würde das Hotel eher nicht mehr buchen.
