The Glaciar Libertador provides more of a "cabin - hostel" vibe than that of a proper hotel. The cleaning ladies were polite and keep the place in a decent shape, but the hotel doesn't make you feel very welcome. Reception is matter of fact, breakfast is decent but serving rather stingy portions - you need to make effort to get a decent serving of scrambled eggs for example. As such, the hotel is rather overpriced for what you get. As a traveler and guest I'd prefer to be left out of politics. However, the hotel's prominent support through its window display for Israel (flag + sign reading "we stand by Israel"), that so far has murdered over 30.000 civilians (70% women and children), made my stay rather uncomfortable. Knowing it's a rather "polemic" political topic that perhaps has no place on tripadvisor, considering that it was the hotel's decision to take a clear public political stance, I also feel that it is helpful to share here for those travellers who wish to take an informed and conscious decision on whether to stay here. I certainly would have wanted to know before booking online.
