Wow! I had a very different experience than others. The positive: very nice bathroom and bedroom. Comfortable bed. Great location, super quiet at night. I also like the “relaxation” room with yoga mats, exercise ball, and books. Negative: we were in room 2. People going up the stairs would pass by our room, sometimes they congregated in front of the window. Complete lack of privacy. Stay in upstairs rooms for more privacy. I really didn’t like the message I received from management before checking in regarding breakage of items including structural items like windows, appliances and furniture! The irony is that the apartment is far from being in perfect condition, when we checked in a bathroom window was cracked, the refrigerator gasket was cracked, kitchen chairs are rickety, and some drawers in kitchen and bathroom are difficult/impossible to open. Just be careful that you inspect everything so you’re not blamed. Management is very responsive.

Fantastic, clean apartments. The staff are so helpful and kind, and the apartments have everything you need to live comfortably. Just a couple hundred meters from the main trailheads. The small market is just one street away. I can't wait to come back!

This was one of our all time favorite Air Bnb’s! Great location, comfortable beds, hot showers, fast wifi and very helpful staff! It is conveniently located near the bus station, shops, restaurants and the hiking trails. Highly recommended!

Incredible location, just a 5 minute walk from the Fitzroy trailhead! Very friendly staff. Apartment was cute and clean. Full kitchen with utensils, which was so nice to cook meals at home. Would definitely stay here again because of the friendly, helpful staff and location.

The hosts are superb and wonderful. Their hospitality is legendary. They support us in every means they can. Their house has an unbeatable location that is close to everything, while it has all the privacy and quietude. The bed is comfortable, like any plush and chic hotels in the world. There is a well-equipped kitchen with all kinds of silverware and cutlery. The whole place is very comfortable. This is my third time to El Chalten. I can assure all users that this is the BEST place to stay!

Merkaba is the perfect place to stay in El Chalten It’s extremely modern, comfortable, warm, clean and well equipped- right down to a lovely little jar of jam in the fridge. We were in and out of the mountains with many requests for luggage storage, how to find things in El Chalten and arranging transfers etc and these lovely hosts helped out every time, often at short notice. They even took an interest in the plans for our mini-expeditions to ensure we were safe. I can’t thank them enough. Very highly recommended!

Great place - nice towels, sheets, bed, bathroom, and additional thoughtful touches like a map of the area and hiking trails, and jam in the fridge. Great and courteous communication. Location was in the middle of town, closer to the start of the Fitz Roy hiking train than it is to the bus terminal, but only a 15 min walk to the latter. It's on the pricier side as compared to Buenos Aires, but worth it. Internet was slow - though that might be due to the area, as I experienced some long loading circles on the payment machines at restaurants - and no TV, which didn't really matter to us. Recommended.
