Tao El Cotillo

Good location within easy walking distance of beaches & restaurants. Depending on your room outlook, you could be facing an expanse of wasteland used as a car park with a few resident camper vans. The complex however, has a comfortable & safe atmosphere. The outside space is well maintained although there is no shade & the furniture could do with some TLC. Superdino supermarket next door. Clean rooms. Well equipped. No room service. A change of towels & additional toilet rolls were left mid week outside the apartment door. Shower pressure low but water hot & enough to shower. NO WIFI in the apartment & none with Internet in any area. Issue making contact to gain access on arrival & language barrier with on site staff though they tried their best & were helpful.

Just back from 5 week stay. Overall disappointed. It is well located near supermarket, shops, restaurants and beach and bus stop Very basic apartments, need total refurbishment, new furniture, paint etc. WiFi non existent. Roof terrace is accessible via spiral staircase,however no furniture up there so useless Although we did get change of sheets, towels regularly, apartment was never cleaned. Paper thin walls, very noisy, from furniture moving, showers, toilets flushing etc, early morning and late nights. No heating or A/C and gets cold at night. After paying nearly 3000 Euro, couldn't even get late checkout, despite complex being half empty Definitely would not recommend

Pros ..Large, clean well equipped apartment.Comfy bed.Lots of hot water.Next to the supermarket Cons...No internet.Luckily we used our phones as hotspots.Absolutely no sun on our terrace( if you can call it that) Was like living in a cave.We looked out on people sitting on their terrace/ balconies in envy.The only place we could access sun was round the pool or off complex.The table needed changing too as I wouldnt have put food or drink on it without a cover.We were there for a fortnight so not great.Weve stayed in El cotillo over the past 30 years but wouldnt come back to these apartments again.We stayed in a downstairs corner north facing apartment.

Absolutely love these apartments. This was our second stay ( upstairs in E7 this time with balcony facing the pool and two roof terraces). The staff are always friendly, beautiful large apartments and all areas including the pool area are very clean. Fresh towels are provided every 3rd day ( plus toilet rolls) and fresh sheets every 5 days. The rooms not serviced during the stay but that suits us fine. Washing up liquid, sponge, cloth and towel are in the kitchen and shower gel in the shower. Well equiped kitchen . The supermarket next door is fab, everything else you may need is available in the China shop across the road! Lots of lovely bars & restaurants within 15 mins walk including a fab takeaway pizza place. Thanks Tao El Cotillo, we’ll be back!

We stayed at Easter and had a great time. The apartments are very clean with adequate facilities we did a little bit of self catering but ate out mostly in lots of fab restaurants.We would maybe avoid easter weekend as there were some slightly rowdy celebrating rowdy locals in the hotel . The entry arrival system is a bit frustrating, so maybe email for entry codes in advance (but everyone seems to cope eventually. ) There was no fighting for sun beds . Staff were polite and smiley the supermarket 50 yards away was well stocked and reasonably priced .

It was our second time here and still love the place. We hope to come back soon.

A short trip and first time at TAO. Apartments are large and clean adequately equipped. Pool areas well maintained and not busy. Large terrace at the back of the grind floor apartments but nothing on them so of little real use. Roof terraces on the upper floor equally poorly equipped. Smaller terrace or balconies to the pool side with table and chairs. Ours was a corner apartment so restricted size terrace. Communication in advance of arrival is non existent. I only discovered that there are entry instructions on the door from reading reviews. In gives entry code and phone number. No catering is available but a good supermarket is only 50 yards away. We would use again.
