The attention to service, exquisite and healthy food while caring for the environment was above and beyond anything we'd imagined! Fantastic views, clean and beautifully appointed rooms, did I mention the food?! The warm and non-intrusive attention from our hosts felt like we were staying with caring family. All the employees were excellent at their work and friendly. We met interesting fellow guests and had one of the best vacations, ever! We can't wait to go back!

The villas are so comfortable, our families were very happy here. Hot showers, lovely swimming pool, very clean, private rooms but nice communal areas in the restuarant and pool. The food is excellent. Easy to get into town and to beaches and other resort options. The staff is so helpful and able to make good recommendations and help organize things in advance.

Absolutely incredible stay at Clave Verde !! Stunning views. Dreamy. Gorgeous pool. Comfortable room , with spacious balcony. Very delicious food. Gracious hosts. Was the perfect quiet location a little outside of the town. We shall return!!!

This place is gorgeous! The rooms are very clean and have beautiful views of the tropical forest. We had a few breakfasts and one dinner there, which were all excellent and full of fresh fruit and veggies. They accommodated our late arrival and late dinner request, the hosts are always very kind and helpful. The pool has a great view as does the balconies attached to each room which have plenty of comfy seats and 2 hammocks, the perfect spot for morning yoga as well. We really appreciate their conservation focus as it was the only place we found in the DR where lots of little plastic water bottles wasn’t the norm, this environmental approach is one of the major reasons I booked this resort. I’d recommend this stay to anyone able to climb quite a few stairs and to couples and families looking for a romantic or peaceful retreat in the forest. Wish we could’ve stayed longer!

Sometimes I doubt if I write a review or not. When I got this opportunity to write about Clave Verde, I was certain that I am pleased to write about my fantastic stay at this little heaven on earth! I had done my homework selecting this place a few months prior to my trip. I had planned to have some time for pure relaxation and refuge in nature. I must give myself kudos for finding the perfect place for my trip. When I arrived, although it was a supper late check-in and it was raining cats and dogs, Noemi was waiting for me in the parking lot with a large umbrella and a welcoming smile. She was so helpful during my stay. Jonathan is a pleasant gentleman that I could stay and had the pleasure of speaking to him for a year and more. You will positively feel at home or like visiting one of your family members. The Clave Verde team is so friendly and professional. From their delicious food and drinks, and a fabulous menu of breakfast, to the peaceful area which is the result of mindful management of every single detail. A romantic room, a spectacular view of greens and blues, and never-seen beautiful birds are all included in your package for free! Since I am back, I am talking about this place to my friends and encouraging them to have such a unique and wonderful experience that I had. By the way, they can speak any language you speak, I bet! This is the stay that you never forget.

The hotel and the personal was amazing and professional. We had an upgrade free of charge at the El cerezo room. For wo want a break in the nature and full silence it should book a room here. The breakfast ist very tasty. Thanks for the great time.

My husband and I spent 4 days at this terrific Ecolodge in the mountains of Las Terrenas. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! Our suite was lovely, clean & spacious with beautiful views of the mountains & the ocean in the distance. The owners & staff are so pleasant & friendly and the food is absolutely delicious! It is a very tranquil relaxing environment which is exactly what we were looking for. The evening sounds of crickets & early morning birdsongs are delightful! We absolutely loved it! 😊❤️

We just left Clave Verde after four nights and I already really miss it! The location is wonderful, great views, lush vegetation and a swimming pool … plus, the food delicious, and everyone so friendly. Noemi went above and beyond to help us with our stay, arranging a walk and boat trip in Las Galeras (highly recommended); a visit to El Limon waterfall; and a boat trip to Los Haities and Cayo Leventado. What would we have done without her advice?! She worked so hard for us, and it was so appreciated. Our room, which had a wonderful terrace, was very spacious, with a little kitchen. Don’t expect a slick modern look … just enjoy the rustic charm. The room was very clean and we were very happy there. One of the nicest things about Clave Verde is the restaurant area. Not just because the food is freshly cooked and fantastic …. but also because it’s such a sociable place. We met new friends there and had such interesting conversations. Clave Verde is a lovely place to relax, and a good base from which to explore Las Terranas. I hope very much to come back one day.

Noemi and Jonathan have crafted an unusual retreat on a steep, jungly hillside. They are remarkably kind and thoughtful people who can hold their own in sophisticated circles worldwide. The food ranges from passable to distinguished and is served with a smile. ..The place is blissfully quiet. But for me there were significant negatives: it's a very steep walk or drive down to the main road and 2 1/2 miles to the nearest beach, which is a very nice one, Cala Lima. As someone who came to the DR for the beaches, it was just too far. There is also very little walking possible on the property itself: everything is stairs and terraces. Finally the rooms them selves are open to sounds both from other rooms and the environment. The grounds were a little too well lit at night for restfulness but I understand the need for safety given all the stairs. I am glad I visited this unusual place and met Noemi and Jonathan, but after three nights it was time to go to stay by the beach.
