Reviews of Renaissance Newark Airport Hotel

Hotel was very clean. Great location. Staff very courteous. Only bad part was the airport shuttle. Only runs twice an hour. We waited for over an hour and still unable to get on. Many people —including us — forced to get an uber instead just to make our flight.

The hotel was very clean and nice. I booked it because of its great accessibility to Manhattan, New York, and for the price I paid, the value for money was unbeatable.

The service was incredibly warm and friendly, definitely deserves full marks! Plus, there's a microwave available to heat up food. After landing, you'll need to take the AirTrain from the 2nd floor to P3, then catch a shuttle, which can take a while to arrive. For breakfast, you simply grab a pastry and a bottle of water, juice, or coffee from the cafe right at the entrance.

It was amazing experience. Very convenient location neat Airport .

The bathroom drain was problematic; the bathtub filled halfway up after just one shower. An alarm from the room next door kept going off at 4 AM, and the front desk didn't believe me when I reported it. The airport shuttle made me wait for two cycles, and despite helping everyone else, the staff didn't offer to help me with my luggage. The room service menu had a previous guest's note on it, calling the food "inedible." The tissue box had unidentifiable stains. When I went to retrieve my luggage, the front desk staff made me wait while he chatted with his flight crew friends. The only positive was the spacious gym, but I was too ill to use it.

Hotel itself was ok for Single night stay, but the shuttle service was below average for reliability and service.

The hotel location is fine. It is connected with the airport by shuttle limo every 30 minutes, 24/7. It is two mile away from Elizabeth Station, not a long rideshare but definitely not walkable. No water in the suite. We were surprised to find this fact from a Renaissance Hotel and we were told the boss of the hotel wants to reduce the cost so a lot of programs are cut down. This definitely explains why half of the amenity are shut down, including the resturant and the bar. The gym is on but the water fountain is out of maintenance. In general, it is fine for a night at the airport.

Good hotel

The hotel was ok. Location was great. Near the airport and mall. They provided coffee and a coffee maker but no water to make coffee. My room wasn’t cleaned for 2 days and I had to beg for service. At one point it felt like they were just ignoring me or didn’t care about customer service! Probably won’t go there again.
