We went back to the Green Tree Inn, celebrating our 40th Wedding Anniversary. We stayed there forty years ago on our wedding night. Everything about our stay was wonderful! It was perfect! The owners and service, accommodations, atmosphere, the amazing breakfast.... none of it could have been better! Megan went above and beyond to make our stay extra special. Elsah is a quaint little town and Inn fits in well. Our experience was excellent. Megan is an outstanding chef and so was our breakfasts. She and her husband, Calvin, were wonderful hosts. The room was clean, neat and comfortable. Our overall experience was very pleasant and we enjoyed our stay.

Lovely little bed and breakfast with comfortable beds, cute decore, with delightful hosts and delicious breakfasts. Not much to see or do in Elsah, but there are lots of places within a short drive in Illinois and across the Mississippi by ferry to Historic Downtown St Charles, Mo or St Louis.

We Loved this little inn. Its a gem in a charming town. The owners are super sweet and have a lot of knowledge about the town. Soon to have a little book n gift store.

It’s such a charming inn. The rooms are furnished with antique furniture, yet are updated with modern amenities. Breakfast was excellent. The town is historic, picturesque and very walkable. The owners are on hand and very accommodating. You’ll love it here!

Quaint B&B in Elsah, IL. Proprietors were eager to please. Would stay again the next time in the area. Everything in St. Louis is within an hour drive.

If you are looking for a quaint village, you can't do better than Elsah, Illinois which sits between huge bluffs on the Mississippi river. If you want to stay in the area, the Green Tree Inn is the place to stay. The hosts Meagan and Caleb were outstanding! (You have to ask them to share how they came to be innkeepers!) The rooms are immaculate and modern. The double bedded room was large with plenty of room for our stuff. The furnishings are in theme, but practical. The beds, pillows and linens are nearly perfect. Our breakfast was outstanding. I look forward to returning.

It was our first visit to Elsah and to the Green Tree Inn. The hosts, Megan and Calvin, were gracious and engaging. The room and common spaces were easily accessible and very clean. We look forward to the next time back.

We stayed for one night celebrating my husband's birthday. I wish we could've stayed another night! Quaint, charming Elsah B&B. The proprietor's, Calvin & Megan were so friendly and hospitable. The strawberry cake and breakfast were delicious!! Give them a try...you won't regret it!

The Green Tree Inn has changed owners, and they have made fabulous additions! Calvin and Megan provide a delicious, filling breakfast as well as very quiet and comfortable accommodations. The afternoon homemade snack was still warm and a very sweet treat! They recently completed a beautiful garden with shaded seating, new plants and flowers which makes it a wonderful atmosphere to relax or play games while you take in the beauty of Elsah. Will will definitely return, and highly recommend The Green Tree Inn!

My husband and I went to the Green Tree Inn for a short weekend getaway. We really enjoyed our stay !The inn is located in a quiet village near the Mississippi River but an easy drive to Alton and St Louis. The room was very cozy with comfortable beds and soft linens and very clean. Complementary beverages are provided and the evening treats were appreciated. The breakfasts were delicious with great coffee. The owners are very attentive and motivated to make your stay enjoyable! Best wishes to them as they continue their bed and breakfast journey

Very comfortable, cute bed and breakfast! The owners made us feel right at home. They have a sweet treat every afternoon waiting for visitors—we enjoyed a piece of the triple chocolate Bundt cake. Breakfast was so very delicious too! After breakfast we even got a personal tour of the Elsah Museum—featuring the interesting history of the area. If we find ourselves in this area again, we would absolutely make reservations again!❤️

This Inn is so very charming and quaint. My new wife and I stayed for our honeymoon getaway and it was so memorable! The accommodations are clean and quiet. The meal that Megan prepared for us was first- class. I would highly recommend this place to anyone wishing to experience fun and relaxation.

I had a wonderful stay at the Green Tree Inn. The room was lovely and Megan and Calvin were super hosts, friendly and generous. The setting was idyllic in the quiet hamlet of Elseh. I highly recommend and look forward to staying again!

Our last of 12 nights of an Illinois/Missouri adventure we stayed at The Green Tree Inn, a quaint bed and breakfast in a historic village. The new innkeepers, Calvin and Megan, were warm and welcoming. The room was very clean, comfortable and quiet. The access to soft drinks, coffee, tea, bottled water and afternoon/evening sweet treats in the common area was enjoyable. Breakfast was very good with lively conversation amongst the guests and innkeepers. Historical tidbits were shared. While staying at the Green Tree Inn make reservations to eat at State Street on LaSalle. The food and owners are wonderful. Everything about this last stop was fabulous and quickly became one of our favorites of the trip, great people, food and location. You will not be disappointed.
