Yunhai Jinlong Hotel

The hotel is located right at the entrance of the small cable car (Cable Car No. 2), but since Cable Car No. 2 is currently under maintenance, we had to use Cable Car No. 1. Although it's not a long walk, going up and down every time was quite tiring. In terms of location, it's not as good as other hotels further up the mountain, but the price is also a bit lower. The hotel doesn't have many rooms, and the facilities are a bit old, but everything essential is there. Plus, there's a restaurant downstairs, which is convenient for meals. The staff were all very friendly, and even though our booking didn't include breakfast, the owner provided it for us.

This hotel is located on the mountaintop, right at the exit of Cable Car No. 2. It's a convenient 20-minute walk to Golden Summit. The owner is very enthusiastic and provides sunrise/sunset times upon check-in. The bath and hand towels in the room are disposable, which shows the owner is really trying to create good conditions. After watching the sunrise, it was very comfortable to come back and have some congee and side dishes. The photos were taken at Golden Summit and are not related to the hotel's view.

I visited Golden Summit once in 1997, and never had the chance to go back. This time, I finally fulfilled my long-cherished wish. The underfloor heating in the hotel was the best comfort on the cold mountain, and the service was very thoughtful 😊

To be fair, the food at this B&B's restaurant is delicious and the prices are very reasonable – big thumbs up for that! 👍 Breakfast was great too! The rooms are decent. It's located right next to Cable Car No. 2, so if you're taking Cable Car No. 1, you'll have to climb some stairs. It's a bit of a distance from the Golden Summit, but overall it's okay. We originally wanted to cancel a day in advance because my friend was worried about altitude sickness, but the owner firmly refused, which wasn't great; there was no room for discussion.

The room was spacious and tidy. The butler was very enthusiastic, and the auntie was kind and offered suggestions for sightseeing, including sunrise and sunset times. They served fried egg noodles for breakfast, and you could also order dinner from a menu, all at reasonable prices. Overall, for a hotel on top of a mountain, the conditions and price are excellent. Highly recommend for anyone looking to catch the sunrise and sunset.

The room's cleanliness was really subpar, more on par with a rural guesthouse (you know what I mean!). For 1134 during the May Day holiday, I'd say you're mostly paying for the holiday rush and the location. On the bright side, the chef's food was delicious, and the hotel's location is convenient for getting around. It would probably be better value for money if you stayed during off-peak times.
