Hetang Lanyue Hot Spring Hostel (Mount Emei Scenic Area)

It's a beautiful place, but you can tell this much from the pictures. Standing among the mountains, it's peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed the hot pool in the cold weather. What stands out is the service! Everyone working at the hotel is really accommodating. They do everything to make you feel welcome and help you plan your travels and solve issues. It's probably the best service we've ever had, not just in China, like ever. The guys working at the hotel are handsome too, which is always a plus 🤭

Very nice hotel with highly encouraged staff and service. We had a nice weekend stay in Hetang exploring the surrounding mount emei. Our hotel room was very comfy and good equiped. The hotel is nicely located to start exploring emeishan. We enjoed the hot spring in the hotel and also a bigger one next to the hotel (costs are additonal). The food was delicious and with good quality. Want to thank the hotel management for treating us so good and try to fulfill everything we requested or needed.

OMG… this is the real deal when you travel to Emeishan! The staff, especially Wang Ruoyi, is so helpful and made me feel so welcome, a true homestay experience. She helped me with getting the right tickets for Emeishan and even organised a ride to Emeishan railway station on very short notice when my didi driver couldn’t make it on time! The hotel is located close to Wuxiangang parking lot. It’s just a 10 min walk but I was glad that the staff offered to take me there by car, the road is very narrow and the tourist busses drive there like crazy. They even picked me up again after I was done hiking. I definitely recommend to get the private hot spring room, it’s absolutely beautiful to be soaking in the hot water pool in absolute privacy! The room itself is spacious and clean but the highlight is definitely the pool on the deck! If the weather is right you can sit outside the whole evening! Breakfast is good, the noodle soup is very tasty and dinner was delicious! They now offer a whole variety of Chinese dishes and everything I tried was great! If you are in a hurry to get into the hot spring pool you might want to let them know your arrival time in advance. It takes two hours until the pool is completely filled up. Very thoughtful, they cleaned the pool after the first night but that meant when I came back from hiking, we had to go through the filling procedure again. It is, in my opinion, a great waste of water and I hope they will find another option to clean the pool from the little debris that comes down from the surrounding trees during the day… I think the water should be fine for more than one night. All in all, such a great stay, definitely the best part of my trip to Emeishan!
