Hongzhushan Hotel

We came to Mount Emei for a trip and booked a room at Hongzhushan Hotel in advance. The experience was great! There was a free shuttle service available for pre-booking when we arrived. The hotel's location is excellent, close to the low-mountain area of the scenic spot, making it very convenient for transportation. The hotel's interior environment is also beautiful, with mountains and a lake, where mist swirls above the water. The rooms are well-maintained, and the breakfast items are fresh and varied. The hot springs are a highlight here, with many pools and comfortable water temperatures – a must-try when you visit Mount Emei! The staff were patient and helpful in introducing the hotel. When they had free time, they even drove us to the tourist center. Every day, there are also value-added activities like scripture copying and tours of Chiang Kai-shek's former residence. It's perfect for both tourism and relaxation. We'll definitely come again! It was my first time seeing how swans 🦢 sleep, so cute!

Our family stayed at this hotel during our Emei Mountain trip, and we were very satisfied with the experience. The hotel boasts a beautiful environment with mountains and a lake, where mist often hangs over the water. Its location is excellent, very close to where you can catch the scenic shuttle, and getting a taxi is easy, making travel around the area very convenient. The rooms are well-maintained, and the breakfast selection is good, with flavors that suited our family's taste. The hot spring is lovely, with just the right water temperature, perfect for relaxing and unwinding. They offer a complimentary high-speed rail pick-up/drop-off service, which you just need to book in advance. There are also value-added activities like calligraphy and sutra copying to experience daily. Overall, everything was excellent, making it a great choice for a family vacation. We'll definitely consider staying here again on our next visit to Emei Mountain.

The hotel service was excellent, and all the staff were incredibly polite. The breakfast spread was especially lavish, with a huge variety of Chinese and Western options, plus local specialties like douhua (tofu pudding) and sweet crispy duck. The hotel is nestled within a beautiful large forest, offering a fantastic environment and an ideal location right next to Baoguo Temple, making transport very convenient. I would love to stay here again.

The room wasn't very clean. There were gaps in the carpet near the bathroom wall that weren't fully covered, and they were black with dust. However, the service was good, and the hotel itself has a great setting, nestled by the mountains and water. The evenings were cool and breezy, and the hot spring area wasn't crowded, so the experience was enjoyable overall. I was just a bit disappointed with the room; I didn't pay close enough attention when booking. My room was on the third floor, and directly above the window seemed to be a platform on the fourth floor, which made it feel a bit oppressive.

The staff are very responsible and call in advance to notify guests of every booked item, which is really commendable. Breakfast was very rich, with 4-5 kinds of freshly stir-fried vegetables. You can tell the chef put a lot of effort into it; it was delicious. To be honest about the room, the lobby is very grand, but the rest is quite ordinary. After all, it's an old state guesthouse where Marshal Zhu De, Marshal Chen Yi, and Chiang Kai-shek all stayed. Haha, that shows its age. There's a gap above the doors in Building No. 5, so they don't close properly. 😂 But credit where credit is due, the service staff are really excellent. If possible, I'd still recommend booking the Zen Mountain Residence.

The environment is elegant and the location is excellent, just a 10-minute walk from Baoguo Temple. It's also a 20-minute walk to the sightseeing bus station, or a convenient 3-minute taxi ride. The service was warm and welcoming; the concierge helped with luggage. The room was clean and hygienic, and the breakfast was abundant, making for a very comfortable stay. After checking out, I left some clothes in the room, and the staff contacted me immediately by phone and arranged for them to be returned.

The forest hot spring experience was excellent, melting away fatigue after a soak. Breakfast offered a rich variety of dishes, including hot dishes, noodles, and snacks. There are also many value-added amenities and activities like guided tours, handicrafts, and sutra copying that can be booked. Free parking is available for self-drivers, including charging spots, and pick-up/drop-off service can be arranged for those traveling by high-speed train. This place truly offers a one-stop experience for dining, accommodation, activities, and transportation, making for a superb vacation. Highly recommended!
