South Point is well situated for all the bars and restaurants in English Harbour but their own restaurant MAIA is stand out one of the best. The rooms are massive and well equipped and the whole place has a lovely chilled vibe.

We chose this accommodation to have a location that enabled us to experience the atmosphere of Falmouth; the yachts, the people, the restaurants, and nightlife. It is a great location and English Harbour is just a short walk away with a minimarket close by too. Arrival was very friendly and efficient, and the location is just half an hour or so from the airport. Checked in and on the way to the room in 10 minutes with a rum punch in hand. Perfect! Our room was first floor so quite a few steps to negotiate. The room is very well air-conditioned and in reasonable decorative order. However, it is very sparsely furnished and equipped, and the furnishings are very tired. The feel was that somebody had just moved out and taken everything with them but the essentials. Quite possibly the case as most rooms are privately owned. Picture hooks on the walls but no pictures, very few kitchen accessories and very cheap, worn furniture combine to kill the appeal of what could easily be a very pleasant environment. That said, the service of the room was excellent, as were all the staff with whom I have had contact, without exception. We would return, but the value could be increased substantially with attention to detail and at very little cost. I would ask for information on the precise room allocated before booking. The beach is small but nice and the pool area is well kept and a good location. No poolside service but the bar is nearby. Broken shower that should be fixed by now! Finally, the restaurant is superb! It makes the all-inclusive option very good value. Catherines, just up the road, is also superb, but I would recommend this over Catherines for location and fine dining. All in all, a good choice if you want a change from a purely beach holiday but needs some attention to detail then it could be a great 4/5 star hotel.

We had a wonderful time at South Point Antigua! We stayed in one of the three two-bedroom penthouse apartments and it was even more lovely than we had hoped it would be. The apartment was spacious, clean and equipped with everything we needed and the views from our balcony were to die for. The pool area, while not huge, was never busy and was well-maintained. The hotel restaurant provides pool service to the pool area on request. There were additional Sun loungers on the small beach as well as kayaks and paddle boards for the use of guests. You can kayak easily to Pigeon Point beach from the hotel. The hotel restaurant was wonderful. We loved the complimentary breakfast - the homemade banana bread is delicious and the banana pancakes were also a favourite of mine! We had a sushi platter for lunch on a couple of days and it was divine. Dinner was also excellent and on three evenings during the week, the hotel bar area has live music. The bar and restaurant service is fantastic. The hotel is also ideally situated for local restaurants, nightlife and attractions such as Pigeon Point beach and Nelson’s Dockyard with Galleon Beach and Shirley Heights only a 10 minute taxi ride away. We had the most amazing time and I wouldn’t hesitate recommending South Point to anyone thinking of staying in the English Harbour area.

Whilst the rooms were excellent, there were a lot of steps to get to the room and then either to the road or to the restaurant. As my partner has less mobility, this was a minor issue. The staff were excellent, friendly and the staff on reception could not have been any more helpful. The restaurant was good as were the staff and the food. Overall, we would not hesitate to return and to recommend to friends.

We stayed 5 nights at South Point near English Harbor in the south after spending 4 nights at Antigua Village near Dickenson Bay Beach in the north. I'm glad we chose two different places because it provided good access to a variety of beaches, restaurants, and island sites. Our room at South Point was excellent and included a 2nd floor balcony with a wonderful view of the pool and Falmouth Harbor. The location was also very good, as we could walk to restaurants at the Antigua Yacht Club, a nearby supermarket (where we bought drinks for the room), and even to Nelson Dockyard (best in the morning or late afternoon when the heat dies down). Our room included free morning breakfast which was very good with many choices, but it's not quick and you need to plan at least an hour every morning. The staff at South Point were all very pleasant and helpful with good tips about the best island sites. The room includes a nice kitchen area with refrigerator, microwave, and sink. The timing of our visit in late July/early August was the off-season, so we had the hotel and beaches mostly to ourselves. We were often the only people on the beach except for locals and honeymooners. Our favorite beach was nearby Pigeon Point, although we wish there would have been chairs to rent (those are available during the busy season). Our favorite restaurant nearby was Pillars at the Admiral's Inn. A must see is the view from Shirley Heights, and we enjoyed the music and food at the Thursday night Reggae Festival there. The zig-zag pier in Falmouth Harbor is an amazing structure, but it was a little disappointing that so few boats were coming and going during our off-season stay. The only minor negative of South Point was the lack of umbrellas at the pool since the palm trees don't provide much protection against the afternoon sun. If you decide to rent a car like we did, be prepared for rough roads, confusing directions, and crazy local drivers.

Very friendly staff. Great location near to bars and restaurants with lovely harbour views from both room and from restaurant. Very poor tv service in room.

Overall a very enjoyable experience..the setting is for us what makes the hotel special. Over looking English harbour and the super yachts. We spent most of the day by the lovely pool very quiet watching the yachts come and go. The rooms are superb and very clean huge in size open plan with kitchen and the bathroom with walk in wardrobe also a great size. The hotel is in easy walking distance to the yacht club and nelsons dockyard so if you want a change there's plenty of good bars and restaurants. As for the hotels staff and restaurants we couldn't fault anything. A warm welcome with drink on arrival. Once checked in we were given a tour of the hotel before been shown our room. The food and service in the restaurant breakfast lunch and dinner was superb. So much so we had dinner two nights on the run cause the first night was so good. The staff are excellent very welcoming and accommodating nothing is too much trouble. However there was one member of staff who out shone the rest and who is a huge asset the the overall appeal of the hotel. To the management team when you have such a superstar like leah make sure she's well looked after they are hard to come by and is a true asset to your hotel. Thank you for having us

Beautiful location. Amazing food at the restaurant. Very large rooms with sea view terrace or balcony. Was very quiet this time of year, so felt I almost had the place to myself.

We all throughly enjoyed our Xmas at South Point. The location is fantastic, incredible views to wake up to every morning. The staff were so friendly and the rooms serviced every day to a very high standard with fabulous fluffy towels and dressing gowns. A bit of wear and tear showing in the apartments but didn’t distract from the overall experience.
