Beautiful hotel , very clean, friendly and polite staff , swimming pool was lovely, rooms were spotless and the bathroom was top spec with walk in wet room , booked a double room and was given a much larger family room for no extra cost, very accommodating

Beautiful hotel and beautiful bedroom, plenty of parking, easy accessable, no noise feom other rooms or road, but the corridor doors bang of each other when people go through them and this is the only fault as it went on most the night and again from early morning

Never again! I booked the Easter deal at the Auburn Lodge and was delighted at the price and already written reviews from people who had stayed there. We could not wait to go and enjoy the hotel. That did not last long. I got a telephone call from one of the receptionists informing me that my booking was being cancelled as the hotel were now putting up other people whom they were getting more money from. I won't go into detail but I will never consider booking this hotel again. Not even an alternate date or sincere apology. I asked if a manager could ring me back then proceeded to ring a further four times requesting a conversation with the manager. I am still waiting. Stay clear! A stressful and regrettable episode. It will never be repeated,

Lunch for three in the bar. Place was spotless and the lady that served us pleasant and chatty. Menu relatively good. Could not fault any of the three main courses and deserts we had . All were very good. Despite living locally I had not ate here in many years, I will definitely eat here more regularly, and am happy to recommend to people.

Myself and my partner went away for the weekend. We had a long drive and were looking forward to a nice meal together. We arrived to the bar to eat as you could imagine it's mid term the bar was busy I anticipated that as I have my own children who didn't travel with me .We eventually got a table for two ,I had to ask twice for the table to be cleaned as it was sticky so sticky the beermats were sticking to the table. My partner ordered chicken and mushrooms vol au vent myself order veg and potatoes as I'm vegetarian, which was a bit pricey considering the portion .Tphe vol au vents and potatoes and veg came out to us swiftly but cold .I actually tasted the sauce in the middle of the vol au vents it wasn't even warm. I asked for extra gravy to try and warm up my food potatoes and vegetables. My partner ate his as we were on the road all day I didn't and couldn't finish mine as I was disappointed to say the least that veg and potatoes couldn't come out hot .We are staying till Sunday and I hope and pray the breakfast for the next two mornings is some bit hot as this is our second time staying here .To say we are disappointed is an understatement.

Popped in to this hotel for Sunday lunch with my sister. Receptionist not overly friendly. Fairly quiet in the bar. Basic lunch menu, nothing too fancy but has something for everybody. We didn't have high expectations going in but were pleasantly surprised. The food was absolutely fabulous. Fresh, good quality food. We ordered the Asian curry and Alfredo mushroom pasta - both were superb dishes and decent portion sizes. Will return again. However, the receptionist did not lift her head up on our way out to thank us for our custom. Simple pleasantries go a long way.

Cancelled stay with no explanation when I rang was basically told tough. My kids and myself were looking forward to the break away and struggled to find somewhere last minute as I had booked this 9 months ago and was cancelled 2 weeks before my stay. Not good enough you have to remember your loyal customers and not your greed, the government won't help your business to recover a year from now. I have already seen the hotel on a boycott list on Facebook. Won't be returning as I've found a lovely bed and breakfast in the area who value and appreciate people's custom.
