Prizeotel Erfurt-City

Hotel near the station, near the center. Interesting design. 24-hour bar at the receptacle. Comfortable bathroom, enough towels. No glasses, no teapot, no refrigerator. But wireless charging in the cupboard at the bed. But charging bad. There is a feeling that all the forces and means are invested in design, not in the comfort of visitors. Inconvenient heavy blankets. The shower gel ended on the night of the ride. We liked the photos of the rooms but were disappointed by the service.

Staff were very pleasant but there was very little English spoken. As in many hotels we stayed in Germany, there was only one black tea bag in a double room meant for two people! Very strange. One thing to note for all guests is regards to the safe. I could not work out how to key-in my own personal code number to lock/unlock the safe, so I went to reception and they gave me a slip of paper with a four digit code on it. I said that I wanted to enter my own (secret) number and was told that this could not be done! I argued that it should be possible to key in my own code but they said that I could not. I was not happy but had to accept it. Later I remembered a safe in another hotel where you could change the code by pressing a reset button on the inside edge of the door toward the hinge. I tried this and it worked. When I Checked out I left them with a written instruction in German (using an online translator) on how to change the code.

Since I know some of these (not really counted - but 6 are absolutely certain + more) IC hotels, I can only confirm that the IC hotel Erfurt is in the average of German IC hotels. Status benefits and other services were granted or fulfilled in full satisfaction. Of course, the beds could be broader and a little more comfortable, but if I book a IC hotel, I can also not expect Four Season, Ritz Carlton or Mandarin Oriental standard. This is, of course, the invincible favourable location + the free ticket for the public transport.

Service is very serious!
Dorint Hotel am Dom Erfurt

We made a short-term reservation just six hours before arriving at eight o'clock am and got the room at 10 am already. Even breakfast for us we ready at the morning of arrival. There is nothing to criticise. The room was clean, with refreshments. The reception staff was outstanding polite and friendly. The waiter were too. We had a very delicious breakfast and the location is only about 300 metres from the city. So, with all this points in mind, there is only one word to describe the hotel: brilliant.
Limehome Erfurt Schmidtstedter Straße

Spent a night in the 40sqm apartment which is perfectly fine for two adults and a child on the huge pull out sofa. Spacious. Nice and modern bathroom. Kitchen equipment was not that great (only one large plate, crumbs in the cutlery drawer, some glasses not clean) and overall cleanliness could be improved. Location is Great, quick Walk or Tram ride to Erfurts impressive old city. Quiet neighbourhood and back yard location. Would use again
