Muthu Glasgow River Hotel

Doesn't look much from the outside but wow inside is amazing. Room gorgeous and clean bed soooo comfy. Staff were friendly and helpful will definitely be staying again. Didn't use the spa facilities or bar and restaurant but will on next visit

The hotel was very old and rooms were not clean. The pillows and covers were stained. Room felt super hot even with the fan.

Hotel was still under major renovation which was clearly well behind schedule. Spa and pool were still not functional despite a promise in September that it would be ready by March. Rooms were clean and adequate but required some basic maintenance, for example the hairdryer was held together by masking tape, there was a mains socket not secured to the wall and a bedside light switch which was missing its press button. Food at breakfast would be best described as being adequate as the quality of some of the ingredients were basic.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ More than 5 stars! The hotel was amazing — very clean, comfortable, and had a fantastic view. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and the hospitality was excellent. It’s great value for money, and I really loved my stay. Definitely coming back again!

The location is remote and is very difficult to access by public transport which is not mentioned anywhere, at the time of booking. Despite this, there's barely any assistance that can be expected from the hotel in terms of shuttle services. The WiFi was patchy, at best and the walls were so thin that we were able to hear loud noises from other rooms and the corridors, late at night. Not worth the star rating, in my opinion and we were hugely disappointed.
