Dali Geothermal Paradise Hotel Reviews

Upon first checking in, the reception staff allocated four rooms to us together which were old, dirty, and smelly, even though we had booked the £76 Jiuqi Palace Deluxe Tub Twin/Double Rooms, so of course we expected for the rooms to be really nice, just like what was shown in the photos on Trip.com. However, we think that they thought that they could scam us and give us the cheaper rooms instead, as they looked nothing like what they showed in the photographs on Trip.com. The hot spring tub outside hadn’t even been cleaned for several weeks, the inside of the room was very dusty and the towels were old and discoloured. Having complained about the rooms, they then drove us to the location where the more expensive rooms were located (via an electric car), which we had booked anyway, but requested that we pay them an additional £5 per person per room. We had no choice but to pay the additional fees for the other rooms, as we had already travelled an hour and 18 minutes from the train station to get to the hotel. Although the more expensive rooms were a lot nicer than the rooms they had originally allocated to us, the hot water from the taps and hot spring smelt like rotten eggs and drainage. It didn’t seem right but they were adamant that the smell was normal for a hot spring hotel. The locks to the doors facing our courtyard area where our private hot spring was located, didn’t lock properly, so we had to push two chairs against the door before we went to sleep, in case an intruder tried to break in. We won’t be coming back here, as the hotel is very dated, the hot water smells dodgy, and the hotel staff tried to scam us, and give us cheaper rooms instead of the expensive rooms we had paid for.

The hot spring has a very bad odour. The hot shower and sink water are connected so they all have the egg odour. Initially I was given the wrong room which all the facilities were very old. I have to add more money to change to a better room.

We originally booked the juiqi deluxe tub double bedroom for the night expecting the room as it was in the photos. This was not the case, the room we received had a musty smell, age was clearly visible and it was not as described in the photos. It was clear it was a room below expectations. Upon speaking with the reception staff it was said that there are better looking rooms within the juiqi type rooms similar to the photos but those were fully booked. The hotel didn’t inform us of this prior to our arrival and we were left with an inadequate room unfit for purpose. They should not have made those rooms available if they were fully booked. We expressed our concerns with the reception staff and they allowed us to view another room instead which was the lakeside tongyuan which were fit for purpose. We paid the extra difference and stayed there for the night but the experience to get to that spot wasted what should have been valuable family time. For anyone looking to stay here, as long as you get the room as described your experience will be enjoyable.

We first took the tent accommodation considering it will be an experience. Well, it was an experience in the bad way... mostly, mold, old amenities in the ”room”, humidity and not proper for sleeping. We have asked upgrade and we got something else in the building, fine for one night sleep. Breakfast was not eatable, so we left with empty stomach. Nice hot bath area, but the kids amenities (playing area) need refurbished, as kids got injuried playing in the water. If we will ever wish hot baths near Dali, we rather choose other place, even if is the water park is smaller...

Great place, its a bit old and some slides were closed in the water park, but overall a very good place if you can upgrade to a room with a hotspring tub inside. What you order on Trip does not have that option, but we could switch once we got there.

The most satisfying thing about this trip to Eryuan was the Geothermal Country Hotel. The smell of sulfur filled the room when the faucet was turned on. It was so authentic. There was also a private bathing pool in the room we stayed in. Unfortunately, we were not in a hurry because we couldn’t even take a dip in the public pool. There are about 50 pools in total, and the milk pool, coffee pool, and rose pool are my favorites. My kids also like it very much. I will stay here again next time.

I took my niece and sister to climb Jizu Mountain and got tired and wanted to relax, so I came to the geothermal country to take a bath. I had been here ten years ago and wanted to experience it again. It felt good. I will come again next time I have the opportunity.

I originally booked a yurt, but because I was afraid of mosquitoes, I changed to a new VIP twin room. There is a separate small pool in the yard. The children liked it very much. The waiter sent 4 bottles of water when there was not enough water. The service was very good. The front desk was very patient when changing rooms. I even accidentally got a toenail, and the front desk also provided disinfectant and band-aids. I will go there again when I have time. The place is very big, and the battery car pick-up only takes 2 minutes to make a phone call. Full of experience. Awesome.

The staff at Dali Gereguo are friendly and provide attentive service, making you feel at home. I brought my children here specifically to soak in the hot springs and booked a private hot spring room. The water is very good, real hot spring water, and I feel relaxed after soaking in it. My children also like this room very much. The room is hygienic and clean.

The environment is very good, it is a good place to play, the accommodation is good, not noisy, there are many hot spring pools, and there is also a water park. It is fun to bring children to play, and there is a bonfire party in the evening. very nice

Pure natural sulfur hot spring, the service is very good, the scenery is picturesque, the room is well-equipped, clean and tidy, the scenic spot provides free sightseeing cars, it is highly recommended, and it is worth experiencing.

Dali Geothermal Country itself is a beautiful place, and the scenery around the VIP room is pleasant. You can enjoy the geothermal hot springs and relax your body and mind. There are also various specialties around, which are a feast for the eyes. All in all, I was deeply impressed by the VIP rooms in Dali Gere Country. Highly recommended to everyone, whether it is vacation or business trip, this is an excellent choice.

I originally planned to stay for one night because I like hot springs. Stayed for another night. The room was clean and tidy. The only drawback was that the room had a sense of age. The entire resort was very comfortable. There was also a great ethnic minority dance performance in the evening.

This time I stayed in a VIP room. The room has an independent small backyard. There is a small pool in the yard. The smell of sulfur is strong. The room is clean and well-lit. The hot spring area is large. There are many pools and the layout is well-proportioned. There is a milk pool. , rose pool, and you can also experience the soaking pool with massage function. The lady Jinhua inside is very enthusiastic and brings us tea and water. She also reminds us to drink more water and pay attention to safety. The water park has rich items suitable for adults, as well as children's games. In the water area, you can choose projects according to your needs. In short, the changes here are great. It is not just a hot spring health care. The entertainment and hot springs are integrated, adding to the fun of hot spring bathing. It is a good choice to come here!
