Hacienda Motel

It’s very clean… but some equipment is broken or run-down. They try to save on absolutely everything, so tiny soap bars, no shower gel etc. tv remote is handed out during check-in… overall not a bad place if you have to crash for the night, but certainly not a place to stay for vacation.

Staff was nice. If you have to stay there it’s a bed but bring own sheets not the best or cleanest.

The hotel is consistently clean and comfortable. I stay at the hotel a few times a year and plan to stay again, the next time I am in the area.

Clean quiet. Friendly staff. Air con ok, nearby ok.

Near safari zoo park. Easy 15 minute ride.

I’ve stayed in many budget motels and this is the first time I’m writing a bad review and will never return to this motel. There was an unexpected $50 cash only deposit. One bed pillow had about 10 long hairs on it. I took it to the check in office to show this was unacceptable and that new bedding was needed asap and was promised someone would come and change the bedding and clean room. This never happened. I had to ask for clean bedding to change myself and was given 2 fitted sheets to use. As I was waiting a homeless man came in asking for a room and asked if he could come clean my room. In the middle of the night there was a knock on the 2nd story door. Unfortunately, the homelessness situation is prevalent in this area. When it was time to shower, OMG, the bathtub was chipping and shower curtain was so dirty that I did not want to have it rub up against me while showering so I stood in the tub with my flip flops on, no shower curtain pulled, faucet running and quickly bathed that way. So gross!!! I recommend to keep looking for another budget motel in a different area.

I wasn't able to arrive until almost midnight so I know I inconvenienced the front desk people but they were very pleasant anyway.

there is no ice machine, had problems with the tv.
