Excellent hospitality, amazing views. cold weather but room is very warm. good finnish cuisine as dinner and buffet breakfast.

Location is peaceful. Atmosphere is relaxing andelegant. Lobby bar is cosy. Evening food and breakfast served there are just perfect and very tasty.

Room was very small for the price, no TV and bathroom was tiny and cold. Paid 50 euros for a sauna that had a broken shower end and very dry steam. Breakfast was rather small selection. The New Years dog buffet was a nice idea, but with the strong lighting it felt more like a school lunch cafeteria than restaurant for people. The nature around was amazing of course, which gives three stars.

I really wanted this hotel to be as magical as advertised, and be able to rave about this place, sadly it wasn't the case! The hotel setting is very nice - in the forest, in the nature, with birds chirping and loads of walks you can go on - but there are certain things you need to be aware of: - it is not right by the lake as the name and descriptions would suggest - it's about a 10minute walk down a steep slope with stairs - not accessible for anyone with disabilities or generally not comfortable walking up or down steep hill... (once you do get down there it's wonderfully refreshing for a swim!) but if you're expecting to wake up to a lake view - you will be disappointed - there is no option to buy food for lunch, and for dinner it is a very limited choice of few dishes each night, and they are relatively small portions with big price tags - if you have any dietary requirements you might have nothing suitable to choose from, which I think is the biggest downfall of this hotel! (there is a great lunch all-you-can-eat buffet across the road in the Nature centre for half the price with great views but it closes around 3pm) - sauna room is absolutely tiny with free access hours split for women (07:30-08:00) and men (08:00-09:30) - so if you are travelling as a couple you will have to book and pay evening sauna to use those facilities, and not great for women who have to wake up very early if they want to use the sauna - this was incredibly disappointing! - cost of the evening sauna is 50 euro - you're better off booking the lovely sauna right by the lake which is again half the price, much bigger and more comfortable and you get to cool off in the lake - the rooms are small which is understandable for a former dormitory, but there is no other areas for guests to use to relax in - few sofas outside which are great in the summer, but you still feel like you're disturbing those that are dining, and I can't imagine what it's like in the winter when everyone will be trying to sit inside. All the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and this hotel could be absolutely fantastic, but unfortunately the cost of rooms combined with the issues mentioned above just leaves you rather underwhelmed and won't be able to recommend it to others.

Just perfect moment for relaxation in the nature, first hiking in the forest, then relaxing and absolutely perfect dinner at the restaurant. Excellent food and wines, expertise regarding the wines was also great, everything the staff proposed really hit the target. Thank you for everything!

We did glamping. Wonderful setting. The staff is very kind, accommodating and helpful. The food excellent. The place and surrandibgs are just amazing.

- There is an open construction site just in front of the rooms. We were never informed about this and the disturbance (visual and sound wise) that this would bring us. - Food choice for vegetarian (vegan) is extremely limited. However there were some options (salad or an oat bowl) - they even tasted ok depending on the day (if the chef was present). However the price of 26€ for a small vegan bowl of cabbage, oats, veggies and beens / 20€ for a salad felt like a rip off. (And did not taste very well) - Sauna. Normally in Finnland sauna is included, but here you had to pay 50€ extra if you wanted to use the sauna in the evening. I understand this meant to save energy, but with the price of the room it felt like it should be included. - Staff. Very kind and very young. Felt like all of them were super sweet teenagers but when we complained it was obvious that it wont bring anything. The girls were changing every day and it just did not seem very professional. - For cleaning the premises a motor car is used, wich does not fit at all to the whole sustainability concept. - For a three nights stay our room felt a bit cramped. Rooms are very small!
