Rooms to expensive they were clean supposed to be updated but curtains had holes in them window frames were falling apart food wasn’t bad there was plenty of it but it was cold. staff didn’t know what we was talking about all foreigners. Wouldn’t recommend it to anyone

Welcome oasis after crossing the WA section of the nullabor. Friendly staff, clean ablutions and very large camp site. Restaurant menu basic and limited but food arrived very quickly. You need to pay extra for a hot shower and meter had to be refilled a couple of times.

First time to Rucla since 2006. Loved this renovated little motel. Room spacious clean modern and so quiet. Car right at the door. The view from the large window towards the coastline through the unique bushland is special. Can’t speak highly enough about the staff in all areas. I am a fussy traveller and where I stay is an important part of my holiday experience. On a road trip Perth to Melbourne Eucla Motel was special. Worth more than one night to see the old telegraph station and walk the beach and try restaurant..simple food and the view into the internal atrium decor is stunning.

Room was way better then we expected. Nice updated room with clean bathroom, that was pet friendly. Couldn’t hear any of the dogs staying in the rooms next door. Food at the restaurant was great for both dinner and breakfast.

After our experience last night 26/12/23 at the Eucla Motel 0 stars would be far too generous for this dump! I booked a Family Deluxe room over the phone about two months ago and was given lots of information from a very helpful lady. I wrote down all the info at the time of booking. Her advice was the reception closes between 8-8.30pm and last restaurant food orders were taken no later than 7.30pm. Fuel was a 24 hour self serve. I received a text message earlier in the day yesterday to confirm our booking for last night which I did. On our arrival last night right on 7pm (after traveling a straight 16.5 hours from Perth only stopping for fuel) we were affronted at reception desk by a very rude uncaring foreign speaking chap who was in the process of locking EVERYTHING up as we walked through the door. After fumbling for our name on the bookings we were lucky to get the key. I mentioned to him the advice I had been given by the lady whom I presumed to be the owner but he totally dismissed it with the excuse of it being Boxing Day! We explained to him we hadn’t eaten and the restaurant was meant to still be open with last bookings at 7.30pm but he said the kitchen was closed and despite there being food in the counters he refused to sell us any food. He said we could drive a further 16km to Bordertown and get food but the whole point of getting to Eucla by 7pm was to eat at the restaurant plus be off the road by dusk to avoid the wildlife. Pretty fed up with the arrogance of this lazy guy who just continued to keep locking up, we decided to find our inviting Deluxe Family Room 22. What a JOKE. It is the worst accommodation we have ever stayed in..the room was smelly, old and very much in need of TLC. One of the beds was broken and the shower was useless. Long story short we hightailed it out of there at 5am ..oh but not before getting fuel from the 24 hour self serve…oh but that’s right it didn’t exist 😂 so we headed onto Bordertown and filled up there plus bought sandwiches to take along the way. The irony of our story is we had stayed at the same motel over 30 years ago on our first road trip with our young family to the East and were very happy with the motel. Obviously no love has gone into that place and now it’s just a money pit with there being little choice apart from Bordertown.

We had a dreadful experience atEucla caravan park and would not recommend it too travellers. We drive a little VW van and needed to use the camp kitchen which was dirty , poorly lit and totally dysfunctional; the two microwave ovens were broken, there were no toaster or kettle and no water at the tapThe site was dirty and exposed . The location is splendid but the poor maintenance soils your stay.

Not bad room, but bathroom small, has no shower hose, water pressure low and not well (temp) regulated. Reception is not wheelchair accessible, but other areas of hotel not too bad. This place is much better than other Eyre highway accommodation providers for wheelies.

Overpriced, rude staff, basic rooms and terrible food. We were told this was a great place to take a break and now I wished we stayed at Border Village. The staff at check in were rude, the room was not clean, and the food was very average. For the crazy price per night, you don't even get a flannel or any toiletries in the shower. The rooms need some desperate updates. I wouldn't stay here again.

Surprise package here. Accommodation was good and looks like it's been recently updated. Cleaning ladies were lovely. One had worked there for forty years so was helpful with knowledge of the area. Meals were really good, dined in restaurant two nights and weren't disappointed.
